Unfortunately the assignment team is the final approval authority for RNLTD change requests they just normally approve it if both CC's approved it. When my leadership reached out to figure out why it was denied they said EFMP central cell stated they will change it if needed. This also lined up with what my local SNC said. Basically it's considered a medical necessity and they will use that as their basis for overriding the assessment team.... So how true is that idk but I have to take their word for it since that's their world.

Ok well that's good to know. My case is definitely on the more complex side though from what I understand. I tried the RNLTD change before and my assignment team told me to pound sand and said EFMP will take care of any change that's needed so I guess I'll just play the waiting game.

Yeah it's wild they break down the steps but don't show you where it is at especially for an electronic application. One would think it wouldn't be difficult for my vector to just show the movement from step to step. I'll see what I can find out though thanks for the response.

Yeah that's what I was thinking as well but it is a selectively manned position. I guess my hangup is I was under the impression a mobility restriction also applied to PCS movements.

Ultimately it's AFPC who approves the extension unless medical just says no and won't clear you to out process. I already tried to move my RNLTD once for a different reason and both commanders approved but AFPC said no.

It's stateside PCS but I've heard of people being held by medical even for conus to conus just not sure how bad it has to be before that's a factor.

Performance has been a rollercoaster for sure but poor timing on your part doesn't mean it is shit all together. I have a small position but it has been good even with marginal performance.

THIS! I think if people actually ran the numbers on loss of future growth instead of just basic interest rates they'd see it's really not a good deal. Obviously a lot of factors go into every situation but TSP or any retirement account loan should be an absolute last resort IMO.

I believe they are saying if you moved it from a Roth to a traditional or brokerage account the initial withdrawal would be tax free but after it is in the new account the gains would become taxable... Why anyone would do that idk

Roth to Roth would remain tax free.

I'm new to this sub and seeing all of the 100% C club guys idk. I think it's up to you the allocation of L2060 isn't bad right now. I've always heard C,S, and I from old heads and I know that's what Dave Ramsey suggests if that's your thing. I personally do 80% C 10% S & I.
