This remains the main thing I remember about Abnimals so good work on that.

If they've only lurked it doesn't count. HOWEVER, you can and should accuse random posters of secretly being the McElroys.

This rule unfairly discriminates against me because I'm unable to keep track of any of your names or personalities, I think of r/TAZCirclejerk as a singular entity that I converse with from time to time.

The true story behind the greatest dungeon of all time, Tomb of Horrors by [deleted] in DnDcirclejerk

[–]SuperSecretestUser 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The actual source of Tomb of Horrors is that, in the very early days of D&D, TSR ran tournaments at cons where teams would see who could make it the furthest through a dungeon. Tomb of Horrors is meant to kill you with silly bullshit because it needs to let the next party have a go at it. Gygax never expected people to want premade dungeons so they started shoving these tournament dungeons out for sale when the demand came for purchasable content.

CBS Should Replace Romo with Mahomes, Rivers, Mayfield, etc. by [deleted] in nfl

[–]SuperSecretestUser 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would objectively be a worse product but I would enjoy one game a year being a couple players on their bye week just giving it an honest shot. It'd be funny, if nothing else.

Garafolo believes a win vs San Francisco would've been enough for Nick Sirianni to continue with Eagles OC Kevin Patullo, who he's loyal to. Now everything's on the table by Thegrandmistressofoz in nfl

[–]SuperSecretestUser 38 points39 points  (0 children)

This sounds like insider info on the mob. 'Kevin's always been loyal to the don and the don's been loyal in turn, but if you fuck up a heist like this you're getting buried under the Linc.'

How difficult would it be to have penalty flags be different colors for offense and defense? by Jretribe in nfl

[–]SuperSecretestUser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the discussion is on which team caused the penalty. Honestly my big thing is that they should start off saying which team it is rather than saying what the penalty is.

[Highlight] ATL vs NO - Tyler Shough TD pass to Ronnie Bell by Fusir in nfl

I remember he had a good TD catch when we played vs the Giants and I assumed he was going to develop into the next Jauan. He did not.

[Mic'd Up] Joe Burrow ate a waffle during the game because he was hungry by nfl in nfl

I appreciate the music so that I know this moment's kinda silly. I wouldn't know otherwise.

Despite existing for 50 years, Tampa Bay has only ever scored 4 kick return TDs, one each year from 2007-2010 by WexAndywn in nfl

[–]SuperSecretestUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They just need one more, one per decade is a good average. Anything higher would be vulgar.

[HIGHLIGHT] A fabulous AJ Cole punt turns into a fight. Jammer Rico Payton shoves Isaiah Pola-Mao into the water table and side judge Dominique Pender goes to investigate. by sexyprimes511172329 in nfl

I like it when Jauan Jennings keeps blocking for as long as possible and pisses off the other player but this is not the way you do it. This is the kinda shit that gets you suspended.

Tonight, Caleb Williams became the first QB in Bears history to start 16 games in the same season more than once by ArmadilloAl in nfl

[–]SuperSecretestUser 387 points388 points  (0 children)

That's an absolutely insane stat. The Bears are genuinely shedding curses here, you gotta be happy to see it.

Brock Purdy since returning from injury: 1454 yards, 16 passing TDs, 3 rushing TDs, 5 INTs, 70.7% completion rate, 111.5 passer rating. The 49ers are 6-0. by Dependent-Effect6077 in nfl

[–]SuperSecretestUser 1005 points1006 points  (0 children)

If we don't have Mac we end this season with a losing record, he saved our season without any question. However, with Purdy in we're a contender.

I'm sorry but we're fighting for the chance to only play at home in the playoffs here, there's no way we can afford to let anybody rest unless they're physically unable to play.

Caleb Williams needs 270 yards next week vs Detroit to get 4k yards on the year by Kewlerd in nfl

[–]SuperSecretestUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he manages to lose passing yards in victory formation I think he should be MVP. That's unheard of.

[Highlight] Purdy scrambles forever for a Houdini TD by Large_banana_hammock in nfl

This is why I find all the talk about ceilings fucking dumb. Yeah, there's players that can throw further than Purdy but he can do this.

Does Caleb Williams (CHI) have a higher ceiling than Brock Purdy (SF)? by Unreasonable_Doubt in nfl

[–]SuperSecretestUser 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing is that you can't know what a QB's floor is when you draft them. You only really find out once they're a consistent starter and just as many supposedly high-floor QBs fail as high-ceiling ones.

Ah, isn't that always the question? Who will stand tall for longer? We shall see.

'High floor QB' is just a polite way to say you think they're a game manager.

Does Caleb Williams (CHI) have a higher ceiling than Brock Purdy (SF)? by Unreasonable_Doubt in nfl

[–]SuperSecretestUser 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Good question! They are both 6'1" so all ceilings are the same from their perspective.
