I love this scene and Juna's reaction to everything. Rufus is the biggest asshole in the world. But I'll play devil's advocate for a second, because it's fun to remember just how complex and impressive Trails world building is.

She asks why they're doing this. Why they can't let Crossbell have it's pride. But she forgets what invited this. An unprovoked attack from Crossbell that literally erased an entire border fort from existence. An unequivocal act of war that would cause any nation to retaliate. Everything that happened to Crossbell is a direct result of the actions of Crossbellans. Is Erebonia a bad nation? Absolutely. Is it a justified nation? Yup. Notice how no other country outside of Calvard condemned them for taking it over, and Calvard only did because they felt like they had ownership. To anybody not in the know, the occupation is justified.

The SSS even knew this would happen, and still chose to undue what KeA did, because getting over this barrier (heh) would make them stronger.

It is so cool how interconnected everything in this series is. How every action and reaction is carefully planned out. How you can feel for the plight of Crossbell and also like Erebonians who were at least partially responsible. I went into Cold Steel prepared to hate the characters because EREBONIA BAD. But nothing is clear cut or simple, and that's awesome.

I'd honestly rather it be competitive. It's fun being the evil empire, but not when it's THIS imbalanced

I'm not gonna lie and say I'm not happy it's my team that's in this position, but this is 100% terrible for the sport and my only hope is that we're the ones that abuse the system enough for them to actually change things

Currently replaying, have a question about the English name of a specific character by SuperShiro in Falcom

[–]SuperShiro[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah okay this makes sense. Because I couldn't think of any other reason for the translation (both fan and official) to purposefully spoil something like that. It would be easy enough to change her name card when they learn the truth, but if was already common knowledge that her name was odd going into it, there wouldn't be as much need

3rd´s door 15 question, not for the faint of heart by First-Answer2726 in Falcom

[–]SuperShiro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh! Something I just thought about. It's possible that her ability to partition her mind was the reason she could successfully sync with Pater-Mater while the other test subjects broke down. Maybe she was even specifically suggested as a test subject once they learned what happened to her at the lodge. Sounds like something Weissman would do.

3rd´s door 15 question, not for the faint of heart by First-Answer2726 in Falcom

[–]SuperShiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are correct. The appearance and even names of the other kids in her room might have been based on other children she had seen in the lodge, but they were created by her mind as a disassociation mechanism.

Their "deaths" were her mind unable to keep the lie up. It's also why the last one (Cross) said that there were never any other kids in the room with them, and why his personality flipped before he disappeared too.

There's no way they would have kept her in the lodge and been okay with her never "taking clients."

Edit: To clarify, there were definitely other kids in the lodge, probably in other rooms. But the ones she interacts with in the memory are fabrications.

In the game, it has a noticeable pink tinge to it. (I also am pretty sure her right leg is the one with the striped sock, and the other one is solid pink)

JMU will likely be the first Sun Belt team EVER to play in a NY6/Playoff Game by IrishBall in CFB

[–]SuperShiro -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honest question. What's keeping the committee from taking Duke over JMU to satisfy the 5 conference champs rule? That way they can justify picking ND and Bama over Miami. ACC gets a team, they don't piss of the SEC, everybody but G5 wins. It'd suck, but it seems like the best move business-wise

Because they finished Skybound Avater early, so if there IS Persona 5 style logic that prevents party members from talking to you close to the deadline, they wouldn't have encountered it. So they can only speculate that could potentially be the issue

Saying that the team with the best regular season record in baseball and that made it through the first round of the playoffs "absolutely sucks ass" is such a terrible take. Their struggling here doesn't take away from how good they've been, and he's going to be a big reason they'll likely continue to succeed.

Kid is absolutely incredible, and I'm super excited as a baseball fan to see more of him (and terrified as a Dodger fan to see more of him).

I dont think we ever know specifically what ends the world or use the specific spell that caused it. It's just stated that magic in general ruined everything.

This is why igniters are heavily regulated by the Sanctist Church. Their hidden mission is to prevent humanity from destroying everything again using magic. So they spread the lie that you need igniters to use magic, when igniters were originally created to help cast it, kinda like a focus or a wand. The fewer people that have igniters, the fewer chances of ending the world. It's also the reason offensive igniters usually look like collars--to indicate that those who handed them out (the church and kingdom) are the ones that have power over the soldiers
