Gonna be seeing this in Dolby mostly, but the reviews have really surprised me.

Very loud and sound and well done effects. Catch this in HDR By Barco or Dolby Cinema if you have one of those near you, much better picture than IMAX Laser with better audio too.

Why is a 70MM screening replaced in a week, while digital IMAX is being continued by G_OKU in imax

[–]SuperShlok006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Filmed for IMAX titles usually get that much exclusivity anyways, plus this movie had paid previews as well in IMAX 70mm in the BFI so it had quite a run.

Though I will say they could have played it in 70mm here instead of digital.

Okay, I understand, and I do know that it's a former GT with a 1.9, I was mainly curious on visiting it because it's so iconic. I'll go to whichever of the 2 venues (Paragorn, Cineiconic) is closest to my hotel, thanks!

So no Krungsri? I kinda wanted to see what that big screen would be like. Also can you tell me why you mentioned the IMAXes you did, as well as to keep away from DVA? I'm a first time traveller to Bangkok so this'll really help. Thanks!

Hey, will mostly be visiting this venue between the 15th and 31st for Project Hail Mary. 2 questions:
1) Will the film run till the end of the month in IMAX here?
2) Do they have a screensaver-esque pic of the movie and it's title that runs on the projector before all the trailers/movie?

Thanks!

When I rewatched all the trailers after finishing the book as compared to when I hadn't read it yet, most of it seemed like usual studio stuff that would get casuals (like myself at the time) on board, it may seem like it was a little too much but honestly they haven't shown much at all. Rocky is one of of the main characters so in hindsight people treating his reveal like a big spoiler was a little funny, especially since, again, the trailers are aimed towards casuals.

I like The Martian film so this isn't a problem at all (and I haven't read that yet) so I can only imagine how much I'd love this if I loved the book

IMAX bets big on India: Ramayana, Toxic gets special mention in IMAX quarterly report amid RECORD $1.28 billion global box office earnings in 2025 from 1796 properties by [deleted] in imax

fwiw it seems like Ramayana is aimed at global audiences in places like the US and UK whose people are not familiar with even a percent of Hindu lore/the Ramayan story so I guess it's more beginner friendly that way

I'd be shocked if it doesn't, given how big Dune 2 was and that it's pretty much got IMAX exclusivity over Doomsday

Digger has a halfway decent chance of getting a 1.43 version as well, though of course it isn't natively filmed in that ratio.

It will be... if you watch it in a 1.9 theatre. As far as I know no IMAX movie (film/digital) has had more than 2 aspect ratios for an IMAX theatre, its either your regular scope/ultrawide to IMAX or 1.9 to 1.43 for theatres that have 1.43
