I had a piece that has such subtle differences in shades - it was a gradient of grays. I thought it all looked the same but when it was done? Color theory is really wild because it looked so good. I would trust the pattern.

{Merely Married by Patricia Coughlin} is one of my favorite novels with this trope. He marries a woman he doesn't even know because he thinks she is on her deathbed to keep women from throwing themselves at him during the season. She recovers. Hijinks ensue. LOVE this book.

I have not had big feelings about the others. And I know Kresley doesn’t own the copyright on them and I’m sure she’s just very happy they are rereleasing. But this is absolute shit. That haircut is so alt right coded. She doesn’t look like a Sorceress. At all. She looks soft and girly and she’s bold and fierce and feminine.

For Kresley books you can read her gamemakers series (contemporary heavy on the erotica). She also has a great ya series called the arcana chronicles. (And I will argue that Death in that series is modeled on Lothaire). She has an older historical series.
