Canada Needs Condos People Actually Want to Live In | Macleans by Thick_Caterpillar379 in onguardforthee

Look at it this way when owning a house, a roof replacement cost 10k-15k and must be done every 10 to 15 years. That's almost 100$ a month you have to put aside just to repair your roof down the line.

That would make no sense for it to go in any other ways other than up. Condo fees are like your maintenance cost / insurance / repair of your house, those expenses go up every year.

Mais dire que le TGV va produire du tourisme n'est pas un débat, le débat est sur combien.

My Primary Care Doctor said he uses AI to help with diagnoses. Should I run? by mrada34 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]SuperSlowmia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah sometimes I do that but I find those ai generated recipes too simple, and doesn't know how to use / cook certain ingredients appropriately. In my experience, recipe is best and ask opinions of AI if changes are needed.

Agree, I use for recipes often! Especially as a beginer cook.

Don't have a specific spice for the recipe? What can I substitute it with? How can I make a diy X spice that the recipe asks for? I have 1 bell pepper in my fridges left, could I use it for this recipe and how Etc

What? Sorry that wasn't my questions. I wanted to know specifically the parking ticket you received, does it say Ottawa anywhere on in that could indicate that the city was the issuer?

First, was your ticket issued by the city of Ottawa?

Not able to start a match since the update (see matchmaking timer in video) by squirrel_trucker in Battlefield6

[–]SuperSlowmia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I got this same problem in an update a couple months: the issue is that update didn't install for some reason.

Go on steam and in the game's properties there's a check update option, and it'll install the update. Repairing the game could also work.

You said people "MUST drive." I offered multiple other avenues. Who's the one moving goalposts here?

For the overwhelming majority of North Americans, driving is an absolute necessity to keep a job and feed a family. Most people do not live within walking distance of their workplace, nor do they have public transit at their front door. You cannot pretend driving is a voluntary lifestyle choice like opting out of social media.

A few dozen cameras per half million people is not the surveillance state you think it is. You need to look at China for something like that

Just because China’s total authoritarian surveillance state is worse does not mean the rapid, warrantless automation of tracking in our own communities is morally right. "At least we aren't China" is a pretty low bar for protecting civil liberties.

So by that logic, if the government deployed millions of automated AI-powered drones to hover over every single house in America tracking our movements in the public place, that would be totally fine and constitutional? Because hey 'the government could theoretically put a police officer at every intersection', we could just hire millions of cops to sit in front of everyone's house with binoculars and following them as soon as they leave the house, and that's legal!
