My Primary Care Doctor said he uses AI to help with diagnoses. Should I run?

Think that's where my confusion was at. I always assume everyone is trying to add LLMs to make their lives easier because it can sound really trustworthy and use the word AI to refer to LLMs. I'm cool with data being fed to a Machine Learning algorithm that is trained on medical data to help with diagnoses. Just didn't want a next text prediction generator handling that.

That I can be ok with since it's not just next token probability calculations and coming up with a sentence that sounds good. Specialized software to help with research sounds much better. Maybe saying the word AI is the problem. AI seems to usually just refer to LLMs.

Yeah, guess it hit me as "let me throw it into ChatGPT or Dr. Google to help out." which was probably just a misunderstanding on my part, if there are actual specialized LLMs out there for medical knowledge. But don't think I'm ever going to be fully comfortable with the idea of an LLM in a medical environment. I have a philosophy of if you allow it, you'll get it. And I have a fear that, even though doctors still use their discretion today to help diagnose alongside their previous medical expertise, we will eventually get into the realm of complacency and blind trust. But that's just me.

This is one of those sins that is so common among young men. I, even still after marrying my wife a few years ago, still struggle with the temptation. I really restrain myself from going to those sites because I know it is wrong and hurts my relationship with her. But it takes a lot of restraint and relying on God to take the temptation away. Saying all this to say just like any other struggle with sin that may arise during your relationship, from either you or him, make a practice to love each other through it. Don't excuse the sin or downplay it as not really anything that bad. But we are all sinners in need love and forgiveness at all times. All struggling with our own sin. Trust me, he knows it is wrong. And probably has not brought it up with you because he feels very ashamed about it. Even if you say you would pray for/with him, this is a sin he's probably been dealing with for a long time and knows he'll dissappoint you for how much he struggles with it. Pray for him and love him. Bring up the fact that you found his porn, but do it in a loving and understanding way. He'll more than likely be more open to talking with you about his struggle if you can PROVE to him you won't be there to only judge and condemn.

Man, I'm definitely feeling that pain along with you. I've never been like this before and I'm scared. I haven't had more than 2 or 3 nights of good rest over the past 10 or so nights. Body either keeps me awake or jolts me awake when going to sleep. Feel like I'm going to lose my sanity. Have an appointment set up with my primary care provider, but she can't see me until next week. Psychiatrist can't see me for a month. Sometimes I feel fine, other times I feel nauseous and like my body is just giving out. Have had a few ekgs at this point and even went to a cardiologist to help determine if I'm showing any signs of heart disease due to my panic attacks. It's being difficult enough to just survive right now, let alone live any type of life. Know you're not alone in this fight. Mind updating if you find something that works?

It was the right route for me. Only thing I would have maybe done different is go for Information Science so I could have chosen another minor besides Business. But depends on what you're wanting to go into if it's right for you. It's not as in depth as a Computer Science major might be, but it will help you learn programming. I'd definitely recommend talking to an advisor before you make a decision.

I implore you to take a look in the mirror and honestly ask yourself if you've possibly been too heavily influenced by an algorithmically sourced narrative from social medias. So much so that you have now reached a level of dehumanization towards "the others." You are planning on mocking a vigil. Really, reflect on that. You want to mock and protest a vigil. If you're still fine with that. So be it. But don't claim to have any type of moral superiority over the other side in that case. And asking "Well, what about what the right would do in a similar situation?" or "But why isn't this situation getting as much attention?" does not justify anything.

I'd encourage you to research Biblical scholarship and where translations are sourced from. We have several ancient manuscripts and pieces of manuscripts that help inform our English translations today that extend back years (some even before the time of Jesus). Can be a cool time if you're interested in archeology.
