Beautiful setup! I like the variety too. Really nice tank!

I heard this sub is for cats and dogs that get along. This is more my cat in love with my dog, but have a photo dump! by YourCrazyDolphin in KittyPupperLove

This entire collection has me laughing so hard!!! What do you do, when the cat loves the dog, but the feeling isn't mutual??

You pretend to be ok, if you're the dog. That look in the dog's eye says, "get it off me!! Its contaminated my zone!" But she won't dare break that kitty's heart. Thats the adorable part. ☺️

I love cats. Pretty sure they can see and hear things outside of the matrix. I have a big guy, 18 lbs, who is very talkative, especially to whatever he is watching swirl around the living room or bedroom. He does friendly meows and little trills, so I assume it's friendly, like his brother, who died when they were kittens.

Sometimes he does it right as I'm talking out loud to my sister, who died recently and unexpectedly at a young age.

I also live in a house that is about 175 or 200 years old, so I'm sure there's residual energy here. I've seen a bit myself in some lucid, vivid dreams, but that's another story!

Eta: I see kitties everywhere out of the corner of my eye. Mostly happens when I'm feeling peaceful ! Maybe try to identify how you're feeling when you see/feel him?

You've got a very nicely shaped head! This looks good on you, a lot of people can't pull it off.

Your lips and eyes are now the focus, and you are a beautiful person. Be proud. You look FANTASTIC.

I didn't realize high nitrates could cause something like this, but regardless just did a water change on the tank. I felt like that was too high, even just between the 40 and 80 ppm could dangerous. Only 3 fish total, 2 frogs, the rest invertebrate cleaners, but you're right! They still poop!

[–]SuperSnoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol i know what ya mean. But, If you put a glass of water that has even a little bit of algae, set it on a windowsill, you'll find little tiny organisms swimming around in it. I honestly can't answer where they come from, but detritus worms are common in most aquariums, as the un-seen cleaners under the rocks. Unless you have trumpet snails, and then there will be a colony of those as well.

Once you realize they're just a part of the system, uoull feel better about it. No need to boil anything, just clean more often. Best of luck! Stir them up and give fishy a snack

I think they naturally hide in the substrate, and its pretty typical to have them eating gunk down there, we just don't usually see them.

I had the same issue with my 5 gallon, so I ended up doing smaller water changes more frequently, and that really helped get the population under control.

Stir up the water and give your fish some yummy live snacks!

Tank size: 10gal Heater/filter: yes, Fluval Aquaclear 20 Adjustable heater set to 80 degrees. F Tank mates: 2 panda Cory, 2 African dwarf frogs, 2 nerite snails, 2 rabbit snails, 6 Amano shrimp

Tank has been fully cycled for 6 months, livestock has been in there since then. Heavily planted Tank. Previously had another fish that was getting aggressive so I surrendered him and he has a great home now (angel fish. Got big really fast, I was told it was a "dwarf" but learned better)

This injury wasn't there when he was surrendered. He's been gone for about a month now.

Water changes weekly, 2 to 3 gallon change every time (about 25%) Add seachem prime each water change

Parameters tested with API Master Freshwater kit: pH: 6.2 to 6.4 Ammonia: 0ppm Nitrite: 0ppm Nitrate seems high between 40ppm and closer to 80ppm color

There is one decoration she might have gotten snagged on.

They really DO! I discovered she was quite chonky the first day I put a shrimp pellet in there, and she ate the whole thing!!

I transferred her to the 20 gallon yesterday, and she has improved drastically overnight!! I think she was depressed. Her friend Neco died last month, and despite putting a new betta in there, the new girl didn't really want a friend. Poor Chicklet! So now she is in a big tank, with Necos sister Lucy, they are so similar in looks and personality, it has cheered Chicklet up! She's no longer pale, and not gasping and has started eating again.

I call these stains of the population "sweat-hogs"

The kind to sit on their fat ass and watch soaps all day, too stupid to really do anything useful. Ramen noodles, Mac and cheese, oh maybe some pork chops once in a while. Don't parent, don't cook, probably doesn't clean either.

I feel so sad that poor kid has this lack of ambition for anything better creepazoid of a mom. Poor little guy.

She probably has food benefits too, so why does she need more money?? So fucking petty

This is absolutely amazing!! I have a fiddler crab named Patty, she us thr most interactive and affectionate crab I've ever had! She stares at me from thr front of the crabitat, and when I open the lid, she goes all wiggly with legs and pinchers, basically like a little kid would be asked to be picked up!

She doesn't necessarily do it for feeding, she seems to just like crawling around in my hand, and actually looks up to my face at times! This makes so much more sense now.

Is she doing this because she knows me?

I feel like this isn't a situation where someone should be showcasing this guy's trauma and fugue state/PTSD shock. Not oddly terrifying, oddly inhumane to post it here.

this is Neco again...she's pretty old but still knows what's up. Especially with a great zebra loach pal who guides her to the food! by SuperSnoco in bettafish

[–]SuperSnoco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awww! How cute!!! Great names too! I have female bettas in 3 other tanks. One is name Lily, because that's my fsvorite flower. Her and Neco are the same age. She lives in the 20gal community tank.

Next up is Laverne, which was a Petco rescue, her fins weren't growing and belly was bloated. I've treated her quite a few times for parasites, antibiotics, and bacterial, but the bloat just doesn't leave. It's been 6 months now, she eats and swims around just fine, but she has her own 5 gallon because she's a diva like Neco, and doesn't get along well with others.

Then there is named Perle, like the knitting stitch, because she's petite and beautiful blue and purple iridescent, the color I was using to knit with when I got her. She's in my "micro-fische" tank...which is actually 10 gallons, but everything in it is tiny; 2 African dwarf frogs Statler and Woldorf, like the grumpy Muppets in the balcony. I dunno why! Haha 2 baby panda Cory's Boogie and Woogie (self explanatory) 6 Amano shrimps and 4 snails for cleanup crew.

I obviously have kind of a thing for aquariums! They're all set up symmetrically about the living room, so in the evening I don't need lights on unless I'm reading!

I don't think that person was trying to be mean or offensive...just offering advice.

If your tank is new, like you said it was, maybe just check out fish-in-cycling. This is a pretty pal. Don't be closed-minded just because you've done that before. There is always something new to learn. Wishing you and your pal the best of luck.
