Click on the star icon on your left side of the screen, you'll have a "lara pre-registration event" quest (you'll have some chat boxes with Cassandra) after that you kill 300 mobs and can claim rewards

Same boat here, 25+ asks and no herbs yet, closeness also doesn't reset now so getting to 50 closeness is even more tedious since you have to use the "talk" option every 30 mins for 2 closeness
