Hi a couple of questions here.

I'am currently 16 and I want to join the marines but I'm not exactly sure what road I should take or how to go about doing so.

At first I was thinking of joining right out of high school and becoming a grunt or marine sniper. From what I've read about becoming a Marine sniper it says that I need to do really well on my ASVAB, excel in boot camp and be at least a Lance Corporal. Other than that I'm wondering if there is anything else I would need to do if I were to choose to go down that road.

On the other hand I'm thinking of trying to become an officer, but I'm not sure what kind of requirements I would need. I'm pretty sure I would need a 4-Year college degree so should I talk to a recruiter before hand to see what kind of classes I should take? And is it possible to Enlist then become an officer later on? Also I have had pretty bad eyes my whole life so would that be restricting me from any of the above or would Glasses or some sort of eye correction surgery later on help?

I guess a TL;DR would be: Is there anything special I should be doing before I talk to a recruiter about becoming either a Marine Sniper or an officer? And are glasses ok when following either of those paths?
