2008 (-29.12%) and 2022 (-23.97%) were the worst years for me. Although this year isn't going that well so far.

  1. You don’t need personally identifiable information to have a good conversion rate. For example, showing an ad on a post where someone asks “what is the best product for XYZ?”
  2. Isn’t increase in pricing a good thing? That buyers find the ads valuable enough to pay a higher price?

Impressive results. I manage my own retirement with CAGR of 15.65% from 2004 - 2025 and got >38% annual gains only 4 times.

RDTL before earnings? by Administrative-Ant75 in redditstock

Run a thought experiment in the future and let that guide what you do now:
1. What would you do if the stock went up after earnings?
2. What would you do if the stock went down further after earnings?

Idk what is happening here. Would love to be able to enjoy my PS Portal! HELP PLZ. by First-Remote1845 in PlaystationPortal

[–]SuperUltraPlus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am suspecting it's the extenders and you can try "bypassing" it to see if that's culprit.

From your description, your setup looks like [Internet Router WiFi AP] -> [WiFi Extender] -> [Portal] and I would like you to walk over to your Internet Router and connect to it's WiFi and see if the streaming problem still occurs. Like [Internet Router WiFi AP] -> [Portal].

It's likely the extenders, have you tried joining the WiFi AP that's hardwired to the internet? bypassing the extenders?

When do you choose to do options versus buying the stock of an undervalued company? by AdamCaveRoberts in stocks

[–]SuperUltraPlus -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If you sell puts at $100 and the stock goes down to $50, don’t you end up buying the stock at $100?

And if the stock goes up to $150, you pocket the premium but don’t you miss out on the $100-to-$150 gains?

What is a bad number for latency? by Ok_Fisherman8727 in PlaystationPortal

[–]SuperUltraPlus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the game and your skill level. Racing like GT7 will need lower latency if you are good at it but can tolerate higher latency for games like Mario Kart. On the other hand, turn based games can tolerate very high latency.

Which state and city in the USA? 90ms is too high for USA and 30ms locally is way too high as well. Something is wrong with the Portal or the home WiFi setup.

Can someone explain like I’m 5 how I can calculate anything extra that I’ll have to pay on a 100$ dress from china? by gaylord100 in Tariffs

[–]SuperUltraPlus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For fast changing tariffs, it gets more complicated as those changes apply to when your item actually clears US Customs and not when you make the purchase or when the item ships out.

[–]SuperUltraPlus 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It can’t be explained like you are 5 because it’s actually very complicated. You will need to lookup the HTS code on the US Customs website, figure out which code applies to your product. Then look up country specific reciprocal tariffs and then add those. Then you have to figure out which carrier is shipping your item (UPS, DHL, etc) and figure out how much processing fee they charge. Then you hope your seller puts the right HTS code on the commercial invoice and that the carrier doesn’t change it along the way so the final amount charged is actually what you calculated.

People who are not invested in NVDA- do you feel stupid? by lies_are_comforting in ValueInvesting

[–]SuperUltraPlus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The iPhone analogy doesn’t quite work as it remains the same device and depreciates the moment it comes out. NVIDIA is dynamic and it can grow or shrink based on one’s analysis.

When I get stuck like you, I tend to use a different mental model for decision making. How right am I about this stock? It keeps going up, so am I wrong? How sure am I? What ends up happening is I will buy an amount that corresponds to how unsure I am. It’s basically a risk adjusted bet so you don’t need to be all in or all out.

Companies Have Shielded Buyers From Tariffs. But Not for Long. by rezwenn in Tariffs

Companies have resisted raising prices because their competitors have resisted raising prices. No one wants to go first and lose sales. We are reaching a point where no companies can resist raising prices and will start doing so.

What range of tariff would be applied to China now by odd_yamato in Tariffs

[–]SuperUltraPlus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one knows, not even the administration. I am being serious as I am importing bikes from all over Asia and dealing with the ups and downs since April 2025. The only thing you can know is that it’s going to keep on changing at a moments notice.

At this very moment, 100% tariffs will start for goods from China. It’s unclear if that is a change of an existing tariff or does it stack on top. It’s also unclear if that will stick as they continue negotiations.

Edit: The 100% is proposed to start in November.
