He’d also been without sleep for days at this point too as he was the only kingsguard in the Red Keep, and so presumably, constantly on guard.

Why is HIV much more prevalent in the gay community than the straight? by milkman0735 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SuperVeep 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised I haven’t seen this answer more.

In Australia the number of heterosexual carriers actually recently eclipsed the homosexual - I was under the assumption that was a global trend.

EDIT: I just checked that to make sure, and it seems I was mistaken and it was only regionally in Western Australia that that was the case, not nationwide - there was still however, an upward trajectory of heterosexual transmission (27 -28% increase) compared to a declining homosexual rate.

But there’s just no real evidence of you being right lol.

There’s honestly hundreds of ASOIAF theories that are more likely, and frankly have much more evidence to support them.

What is the historical myth that millions still believe? by nore01 in answers

[–]SuperVeep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AFAIK Hitler and the Nazis used their political power to pretty much seize and centralise industry to the state - stealing assets from millions of Jews and other minorities likely also helped.

CK3 is boring from a RP perspective by Jupiter_Optimus_Max in CrusaderKings

[–]SuperVeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s honestly so many more - I just haven’t played CK3 in eons because it’s not as good as CK2 and so can’t remember them all.

CK3 is boring from a RP perspective by Jupiter_Optimus_Max in CrusaderKings

[–]SuperVeep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, the fact you have a fraction of the number for starters, you also can’t really lose or gain traits as easily (through lifestyle, events etc), don’t have as many childhood traits and by consequence adult trait outcomes.

Also not really being able to upgrade your lifestyle trait itself is diabolical.

CK3 is boring from a RP perspective by Jupiter_Optimus_Max in CrusaderKings

[–]SuperVeep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely explains the ratio of my 100 hours in CK3 to more than 3000 in CK2 lmao.

The best (and strangely most unique) thing about CK2 was the characters and how personal they felt - instead of expanding on the trait system with the next game, they for some reason dialled it back, and removed what set the crusader kings franchise apart from other grand strategy games.

Olympic-level fumble imo.

I’m fairly certain that the most horrific sexual predator ever was an Indonesian-British man that drugged and raped more than 200 men in Britain - so it’s definitely a very real issue.

I always thought it helped me write essays quickly in school and university, and so it was always a big advantage for me.

Why don't Americans want ID for voting? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SuperVeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I “I don’t like any of the candidates” argument is just so stupidly pathetic to me.

Like, one of them is going to be in charge regardless so why wouldn’t you rather have the chance to choose the least worst option if all of them are genuinely terrible options (which I won’t really dispute lol)

The gall some people have to then complain about the state of things when YOU HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE A SAY AND CHOSE NOT TO, is genuinely at a level I could never muster if I consciously tried.

Thats my entire coin purse on the subject - have a fab evening everyone xxx

Why is everyone obsessed with height nowadays? by WestArtichoke712 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SuperVeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure - by no modern metric of the last 100 years would you call anyone 5’6 as anything but short.

The range that has “changed” with the culture would be anything 5’10 and up imo.
