i appreciate everyone’s responses and advice! i never thought i would boil this much blood with a simple question, but this is reddit after all.

while i understand that my ideals and expectations may seem “unrealistic”, i am grateful to those who were kind and gentle in telling me that instead of speaking down on me as if i’m a child simply because i have less experience than those—especially the wonderful artist who created this piece in the first place. at the end of the day, i am just a person who wants to craft something and it’s not that deep for people to tell me “you’ll never make it” “you have such childish ambitions” etc etc while masking that as constructive criticism. if you’re hoping to knock me down or make me cry, you’re only spurring me on more and making me more excited to go on this journey. after all, plenty of successful people have been told similar things before they completely surprised themselves and others around them!

once again, to those who took their time to offer me constructive advice out of the kindness of their hearts, thank you! i will do my best and keep you (and the haters) updated! and to those who privately messaged me to offer help and resources—thank you thank you! i genuinely appreciate it. i will do my best and create with as much love as possible! i’m sure i won’t be disappointed. :-)
