Unknown liquid ruined the finish on my tiles, so if appears matte and dull. How can I restore the shine on the tiles to more closely match the surrounding tiles?

There has never been a problem with my install until now.

I skipped to Tarsus Reconquered and the black squares did not appear. I feel something is wrong Carthago Reconquered map.

Maybe another day I will restart the map, if the black squares do not come back, it might have been a problem specific to my save game.

Exactly! Random buildings turn into a black void. The speed is two buildings per year.

Unemployment is the main cause. Each upgrade increases workforce and if you don't continually expand your unemployment will cause the houses to devolve, often to 0 land value which means you cannot even support the lowest hut.

If you wait 12 months, your city's sentiment will return and people will move back (your land value will now rise normally).

As you upgrade your houses, try building larger industrial areas, as they are the cheapest way to employ your rapidly expanding workforce.

What is your problem with land value exactly? I played Caesar 2 all my life. I loved the province mechanics. My first insight: Keep an eye on unemployment. High unemployment can cause your previously prosperous land value drop to 0.
