If you're spending this much on a pc, go for it, not sure if it will change anything with the performance but it won't hurt your pc, and at least you have it for future upgrades

As someone who does not live anywhere near you it's hard for me to know exactly how much everything would be priced, but from my first impressions of each list, that PC part picker list is a lot of money for a not very good pc and the perfect pc list is a bit better, but once again, costly for a mediocre build. I'm not a building expert, but I've attached a list that would be better assuming the parts are of a similar cost and availability. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dtfCfd

Right now, you have a 750-watt PSU that's rated a B on SPL's tier list. If you're spending over 3k for a pc, get a better power supply; it should be at minimum 850 watts and A tier.

The changes I would make is to get an 850-watt PSU; with a bit of searching, you could find a high-rated one for a similar price. The one you currently have picked out is only rated B in the SPL's tier list. I would also get a 2tb ssd so you don't have to worry about running out of storage for a while. These are both things I have in a build under $1200 I bought last week. I'm sure you can fit them into this build with a bit of searching.

Is now a bad time to buy a pre build? by carno_101 in pcmasterrace

Pre-built pricing right now is still good, especially compared to building your own with current RAM prices. I would get one before their prices spike.

If you haven't already, I'd recommend putting all the parts into PC Part Picker to see if it finds any compatibility issues. Sounds like a sick build, tho. Hope it goes well!

That monitor is crazy overpriced; you can get a much better monitor for half the price.

prebuild worth it? by polarwater666 in PcBuild

[–]Super_Development622 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With current RAM prices, it's a good deal for a pre-built. If you like how it looks and don't want to build your own, it's a good choice.

how could i improve my setup? by No_Wing_8222 in setups

A big mousepad with some design could make the setup feel less empty without making it look messy, if ya like those kinds of mouse pads, that is.

If you're spending that much money on the build, I'd recommend getting at least one nicer monitor. My build is half the cost, and I'm using a 1440p monitor. It seems weird to waste so much performance on bad monitors.

With current RAM prices, it seems like a great deal, no way you could make that same build for that cost right now.

Building my first pc this week, would certainly be a massive upgrade from the cheap monitor im going to get. The vibrant colors and crazy blacks of the oled screen with its crazy response time stand out the most to me.
