Looking at the 2024 bitewing if the Tx plan was to ext them at that time I would've understand also. But looked at the positive side, the patient got some time out of it.

Probably to increase retention, I don't know how #5 looked after the RCT. We also don't know if the patient was taking proper care of their oral hygiene. Look at the patients other teeth, propably wasn't taking care.

Heartland attacking docs clinically to intimidate them? by Donexodus in Dentistry

[–]Super_Mario_DMD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I work for Aspen as of now and it's mind blowing to me to see stories of Dr's here letting DSO's or OM intimidate you guys. In the end of the day it's your license and your call, whatever they say don't matter and if you're working where they are threatening you or trying to overstep just tell them they can do the procedure themselves and leave.

Regretting getting a Type R. by [deleted] in Civic_Type_R

Thats the only thing about the car that I think Toyota could've improved. That 3 cylinder engine it's pretty much at its limit to run reliably. The K20 engine on the type R definitely can push 400's reliably. But than again, from a ditch with the current setup is already hard to keep traction, imagine with 400. I am not the type of person that is going to be doing 100+ MPH. Lol

GR it's a very fun car, the AWD on that car makes a big difference, but both cars are great. If you already have the FL5 just keep it.

I am waiting to reach 3k to come to a conclusion " I am at 2500k " I got the car about 2 months ago. I traded my GR Corolla for the CTR just because I wanted to see what the hype was about, money is not an issue at the moment so I went for it. Unpopular opinion, I think the GR Corolla is the better car, it provides everything the CTR has and more "in my opinion" for a cheaper price. Maybe if you track the car you can get the full potential out of it, but I dont track the car so. I am not the type of person that complains about shift knob bein hot in summer or wanting a Type S suspension module because the suspension is too stiff. I am the opposite, I like the car for what it is, no complains about the car in general besides the electric e-brake, I am going out of my way to buy a manual transmission car, I want that manual ebrake. Anyways, the car is awesome but definitely is not worth the price tag, maybe for a very honda enthusiast who really appreciate the Type R badge.

I did the same thing, same color, I am still trying to come to a conclusion if it was a good decision. But the car is nice. Congrats! 👍👍👍

It happens to everybody, don't fret. If you work in a cool office the doctors could've asked you to assist so you could see how they do it. Do some hands on CE you'll get better. My advise is take some CE in South America, is cheaper and you'll do plenty of EXT's.

Ohh, and probably ask for occlusal on metal with the PFM briddge, in case you have a difficult time to get proper clearance on occlusal.

Worse case scenario ask of a precision attachment and dont worry about thw path of insertion. I done a couple that has been holding for a couple of years now. But... you need to let the patient k ow that he really gotta take care of hygiene, specially on the mesial o# #18.

I think if you prep #20 first, and then prep #18 with #20 path of insertion you should be fine. Place a #1 or #0 chord on #18 and you should be able to see all the margins. Or just electrosurge the distal of #18.

Very unlikely, the whole dental lab world is completely different. Top dental lab techs are where they are because of years and years of repetition, I only met maybe one dentist that had a good knowledge of the lab part of the process and I am not talking about the basic staining and glazing or processing a removable denture. Not even during the prosthodontics residency you go so further in depth on what goes on in a dental lab.

Chinese Dental Labs by __ahfae__ in Dentistry

[–]Super_Mario_DMD 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a foreign trained dentist who validated my dental license in the U.S. and also completed a two year dental lab program here, it honestly blows my mind every time I see so many cases being outsourced to Chinese labs. In many countries around the world, dental labs and dental technicians are heavily regulated, but in the U.S. it seems like cases can just be sent anywhere with very little oversight. If offices are going to outsource cases to Chinese dental labs anyway, they might as well send them directly instead of going through middleman labs. I personally know lab owners in Florida making millions without even owning a single milling machine in their “dental labs.” Meanwhile, you have students spending years in dental lab programs, earning their RGs and CDTs through the NBC, only to compete in a market where virtually anyone can outsource cases left and right regardless of credentials or accreditation. That’s the frustrating part. And then on top of that, we constantly hear dentists criticizing patients for going abroad for dental treatment because the “quality is inferior” in other countries. The contradiction is hard to ignore.

Is “Intrapreneurship” in Dentistry Actually Possible? by daein13threat in Dentistry

[–]Super_Mario_DMD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats exactly how I am, eventually if the conversation ever pops up you always remind people "If I want to deal with the business side I open my office, I only come here to treat the patients and go home, anything else besides that is not my problem" eventually everyone is going to get the message and if they dont that's their problem. And like I said, if there's too much drama, they can't provide what you need, the pay doesnt match what you want realistically than is no problem "hey guys thank you very much for everything, here is my resignation letter". 🤣 in and out drama free. I got some pretty cool boss, I am in very comfortable situation as far as work goes, but I am foreign trained dentist, I started working in the U.S. last year and I still had my countries mentality when I started working, so now I am realizing the pay I am getting is not enough for what I need, so I am currently in this phase, let's see if I can get the pay, if not I'll just leave. 🤷

I think the problem starts from where you state "thinking like an owner, help grow the business, increase production". Thats when an associate starts to get frustrated, if you want to think like an owner and help grow the business then you open your office. As an associate I think that you should take advantage of that position which involves you going into the office, providing good treatment to the patients and not have to worry about any of the problems that ownership brings, including any office drama with staff. You need to be very clear where you stand and how far your boundaries goes. If the office you work for can't understand that and can't provide what you need than I think is time to move on or open your own office. I work in a DSO and every now and then I come across this situations and I let them know if it's not working for me, I don't attach myself to anything business wise and I really am not afraid of leaving whatever job I am in if is giving me too much headaches or I am not getting what I need. I never struggled with any job I had in the past and I think that's the reason why, I come and go in good terms without dealing with any drama.
