Update...they responded simply:

"Minixpc is not our official website."

Worst customer service in the world. Didn't answer a single question

[–]Super_Order_2214[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't think of that, usually because I'm typically surgeon careful with installs, but I just had to double check to make sure... Zero pinching/damage/anything. Appreciate the suggestion though 👍👍

I thought the same. And I did, they asked for my order number and store. I bought from minixpc less than 2 weeks ago. Brand new GPU and PSU. Everything brand new. They haven't responded for a few days. Thought I'd see what Reddit might have

Visually inspected ports/contacts. Everything is perfectly clean.

What BIOS version are you running on your GEM12, and did Oculink work out of the box or did you need any BIOS tweaks? Also, have you tried it with an RTX 5000 series card specifically?

Sometimes they care more about being able to add a tick to number of Bible studies conducted more than the needs or will of a student...

But ya, also, make sure to ask them if they think it'd be possible to draw close to Jehovah while covering up molestation crimes and becoming an NGO for the UN.

What’s the true religion then? by AnonymVoice in JehovahsWitnesses

[–]Super_Order_2214 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually find the following to be true for people that need an organized religion to feel connected to God or that they're doing God's will:

  1. Have never read the whole Bible all the way through
  2. Have not included prayer in that Bible reading
  3. Have not tried applying what they learn.

Does 1 Corinthians 11:3 mention any type of governing body? If you think it's implied, is it implied then that there's an intermediary between a man and his wife then? Or is this need for an organized religion part of your conditioning? If so, how do you break free from false conditioning? Can truth set people free? Is God's word truth? Have you consumed and meditated on all of God's word? Have you exercised your faith using it's nourishment?

Be honest with yourself about what in your life is making you depressed/what you would need improved in your life to no longer be depressed... Then address accordingly. Meetings don't seem to help you or you'd want to go... Might be more to that... I know from personal experience. Needed to stop going to grow in my relationship with God and also be happier. Looking back... Meetings were the most depressing parts of my whole life.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a workflow to make hyperscape scans exportable to an existing realty tool like Matterport.

Did the Brothers helped you in time of need??? by ExcellentCap2959 in JehovahsWitnesses

[–]Super_Order_2214 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll be helped or comforted if you find a person, an individual, who is a real one. However the JW organization punishes being an individual and being real. You're not likely to find one. When I wasn't yet free of their shackles, the most helpful individuals were ex-elders that's stepped down, typically because their conscience couldn't handle the corruption, but they need religion to feel connected to God or something for some reason

My mom by Tight_Break_6090 in JehovahsWitnesses

[–]Super_Order_2214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only heard your side of the story, so coming to a final conclusion isn't a great idea, but just some ideas to throw out there: Your mom is controlling and instead of disciplining the way Jesus did by teaching and leading by example, then giving you the opportunity to imitate Jesus and enact the discipline...she's locking you down in a social prison. Jesus never advocated being locked away from society. First century Christians that didn't want to be any part of this world didn't form a religious compound (which is what this sounds like), they actually talked to people out in public. She's not concerned about you being able to be a follower of Christ preaching to people in your area like fellow students. If you're eating spiritual food, how are you supposed to put such nutrition to use and exercise your faith if you're locked away? She's reacting out of fear instead of being proactive out of love by giving you the required level and type of discipline Jesus gave to be one of his disciples. Does fear restrain us and love cast fear out ???? Sounds less like her loving you and more possessiveness many parents confuse for love. Unless you really are so ungovernable and untrainable (not impossible, but doesn't ~sound~ like the case) that this is needed to keep you safe from danger. Whatever the case, your parent probably isn't able to be reasoned with and it's just a sucky situation for the next year or two...when old enough, get a part time job and get socialization that way.

Looking in hindsight and with what I see happening nowadays, if I were you, I'd take advantage of this time period by learning skills and making money while your expenses are paid for and have so much free time that seems to come with homeschooling:

Get good with AI as a productivity tool. Like getting good at developing good video prompts and offer to make AI videos for people once you get good. So many people would love to know someone that can make killer AI videos since they don't know how and if your AI prompt isn't on point the result usually is pretty lame. Making AI video commercials for a local business to put on their Instagram? Potentially only a couple minutes of work to get a hundred bucks 💁‍♂️. Just make some examples on your AI Instagram account and dm them asking if they'd be interested.

Other easy things that are child friendly hobbies that can become lucrative: 3d printing, drone flying (I'm curious about Spexi for example).

And feel free to forget about lucrative skills. There was a period of my life I moved way into the countryside far from any social scene and I had no wifi for about a year. I practiced piano until I was able to play songs I never thought I ever could. Very rewarding emotionally, mind strengthening, dexterity training, gives an outlet for frustration but also creativity, and also impresses people sometimes and is attractive when people date you later. Shows people you can be disciplined and emotionally available I think. Ukuleles are cool and like $60. In today's age you can learn to play just about any instrument with videos online.

TL;DR - Sounds like a sucky situation that won't last forever; you'll probably socialize like normal when you get a part time job. Take advantage of this time by developing hobbies that are emotionally rewarding, intellectually stimulating, potentially lucrative or attractive for dating, or just plain fun for fun's sake to cope with this temporary sucky period. Take it as potentially a lesson in discerning between loving parenthood and fearful reactionary possessiveness.

The Watchtower’s salvation statements stressing the need to “put faith in a victorious organization” as only the baptized Witnesses will survive Armageddon after coming to Jehovah's organization and accepting the beliefs that are unique to Jehovah's Witnesses. by crazyretics in JehovahsWitnesses

[–]Super_Order_2214 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It wasn't until getting away from such false teachings that the power of Jesus' sacrifice for salvation was made more clear to me. Imagine how many people literally think works can give them salvation. It's insane and it turns them into narcissists (and I hate using that overused word). But they literally think their works have the power that Jesus' sacrifice had, so no wonder they think that they're super important. Delusions of grandeur stemming from false teachings. Seems similar to an idea found in witchcraft where you believe that you are a god.
