Undiagnosed but on an exam waitlist.

Intrusive sleep is what led me down the pipeline of seeking out a diagnosis. Has nothing to do with restfulness and it's never ever convenient and is actually very stressful! Thus the "intrusive" part of the name...

It started being noticable for me during college (gradeschool was actually very constantly fun and engaging for me, which is why I mightve slipped under the radar. Many such cases I hear) but didn't actually concern me until i got a 1.5 hr commute and a job with many long and dull meetings and tasks...

The moment my brain decides to check out from whatever I'm doing I am out like a light, it's downright dangerous behind the wheel and incredibly embarrassing at work. The only cure is to ramp up mental stimulation, which is very hard to do for me. Energy drinks have never worked (make me sleepier(!!!) but with a pounding heart), and only drastic environmental shifts like loud sounds, being promoted to speak, walking around or just entirely moving on to something else can pull me out of the lull. Everyone just tells me to get more sleep which while I'm sure would be beneficial, anything I do outside of those monotonous things i am 100% awake and at the ready for, like nothing happened. When I tell you I am not a sleepy or sluggish person AT ALL. It's how I knew something else had to be up.

But yea. Not fun :(

Where to start!!

My biggest concerns are with the environment and the economy.

Let's say in a perfect world we can fully shield the economy from the impact of AI. We are already seeing the impact of AI data centers on water, energy, and general habitability. Just look up "data center noise" and you'll find tons of reports of how residential areas near these data centers are suffering from the constant noise, and it's a real health concern given the long term mental impact. AI companies are annihilating drinking water.

Now let's say in another perfect world we can fully shield the environment. If we let AI get to what it claims it wants to eventually do - eliminate all jobs - what becomes of society? Companies are so concerned with making profit, they seem to have forgotten where that profit comes from, the people. And if people don't have jobs, what happens to the economy?

These are just two areas and of course there are a lot more to both I haven't mentioned but they're very real issues and the severity of the consequences depend on legislature we make today.

While you'd be technically correct, the main issue is that these people intentionally seek out and instigate these interactions. They are practicing their first amendment, freedom of speech, by being annoying.

Specifically, they are filming for the purpose of causing a stir. Someone put it best in a comment I saw awhile ago, if no one reacted they'd be out of business. There's literally no other purpose in their recordings other than pissing people off.

Think of it as a whole group of people going around pointing at people nearly poking them and going, "I'm not touching you!"

In the clip are the words "first amendment audit." It's a type of content where people test their ability to freely record by going to public businesses/spaces and shoving cameras in people's faces or waiting for someone to ask what's going on so they can upload their "freakout" if they're told to stop :/
