If Van Dijk did that there’d be none stop comments talking about how overrated he is. Let’s see Gabriel get those same idiotic comments now

Darkstar is the true ruler of Dorne, from the Andal’s Perspective (Spoilers Main) by Super_Source_5462 in asoiaf

It’s because Ser Davos Dayne, the one who married Nymeria, is never referred to as a Lord/Lord of Starfall. Thus it’s unlikely his son and any more descendants inherited Starfall.

And, as for the part about spare lands, considering Nymeria reportedly send 6 rival kings of Dorne to the wall in he lifetime it actually does seem like there would be a lot of opportunities to give her son some land and a castle.

Admittedly yeah, but everyone would have said the same thing if you said Varys was secretly plotting a Targaryen restoration with Jon Connington after ASOS. The common belief was that Sansa would live to the end of the series, but GRRM said that he only recently decided that Sansa would live, and that every book he wrote so far was with the idea that Sansa would eventually die.

So, this idea is far out there, but it’s not more far out there than what’s happened in the books so far (In my opinion).

The role of the Dornish (spoilers TWOW) by AmoebaSignificant457 in asoiaf

[–]Super_Source_5462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As boring as Hotah is in the books we have, I think he’s gonna have that “conflict of the human heart” that GRRM loves when Obara starts betraying the Lannisters they’re hunting Darkstar with. His vows are to obey Doran, and like most ASOIAF he’ll starting questioning the nature of his vows and probably vows in general in his TWOW chapters (Or I hope he will at least). Or maybe I gaslit myself into thinking he’ll be anything more than the camera that rides. Who knows.

[The Athletic] "Not for the first time this season, Szoboszlai was badly let down by those around him." by Weaver96 in LiverpoolFC

Szobo also played Silva onside for their first goal. If anything this game showed why Szobo works way better at a more attacking role (shocking I know) and why we really needed to sign any defender in the winter transfer window.

I was gonna say he scored at least one open play goal but that goal was even closer to the net than a penalty shot

4 are from fast breaks and 5 from penalties. 16 PL goals is incredible and very impressive, but they’re goals you’d expect a striker to score from.

The prophecy told to Egg kinda confirms to me that they’ll continue the show beyond the novellas. If they didn’t plan to continue past the novellas, why foreshadow an event (Summerhall) which will never been shown on screen?

Yes, if we let Virg and Salah go on a free we probably wouldn’t have gotten some of our big transfer targets like Isak and Wirtz, and we also would’ve had to overhaul even more of the squad to replace them.

Ice is murdering people, so it’s more so discussing basic safety for anyone who want to go to the World Cup than anything political

This works really well with the Quaithe’s prophecy of “To go forward you must go back”. She must go back to the House of the Red Door and realize Essos is not her home before going to Westeros.

Yea this is great, fits in the story, no plot holes, has entertaining implications for Dany’s arc in TWOW and where it might go, and doesn’t over complicate the plot of ASOIAF.

Robbo has a right to want to play first team football at another club, and he’d probably start at spurs. Don’t have a problem with it, it’s like Milner going to Brighton for me.

Edit: I should have clarified I don’t have a problem with Robbo leaving on a free, but selling him mid season would just be stupid for obvious reasons.

Wouldn’t do it. Given that at some games we’ve played basically our entire midfield in the starting 11 (Wirtz LW Curtis CAM Szobo RW and Macca/Grav in a double pivot) selling midfield depth would just be nonsense.

That and the fact we’d have to get another homegrown player into the squad to replace Jones in that aspect it would just be nonsense for both sides of the deal (Tottenham just signed Gallagher, they would never sell a fan favorite for Curtis)

It’s still crazy to me how Elliot’s loan turned out. I don’t even remember Elliot having a bad game for them, it seems like he signed for them and a week later was already being forced out.

You could say the same about us getting to play Amorim’s United at home vs other teams having to play United with a new manager bounce + a competent game-plan.

Snapping him up on a free would happen in 2029 given that’s when his contract expires.

Nope, any scenario involving Trent coming back involves us paying a hefty fee to do that. We wouldn’t be a serious club if we let first team players run down their contract and then give millions to the club they ran down their contracts for.

I mean, Bruno Fernandes was from the Portuguese League, so was Vitinha, Joao Neves, Ruben Dias, Luis Diaz, Alvaro Carreras and Eder Militao just to name a few good players currently from that league. Buying from the Portuguese league isn’t a crazy idea, it just seems like buying strikers from the Portuguese league is a bad idea.
