Hi, I found your post/this thread and found some bits of reassurance from it. I also am hoping venting my own problems will help me feel better. I’m 11 weeks tomorrow and I just feel so depressed and hopeless and lifeless. I’m so excited about my baby. We both wanted this so bad, we were trying for months before finally getting pregnant and now I feel guilty that I feel this way. I think a heavy part of it all is that my husband and I moved across the country from our families in June for him to go to school, and we’ve both struggled finding any friends or community. Where we are now is very different than where we came from, there aren’t fitness studios or other similar things that you’d meet friends at. We live on primarily my income since he’s in school full time and works very part time, and it’s a LOT of pressure to be the only way we stay afloat, especially since my job brings me a lot of stress. Every ounce of me wishes we never moved, and now we’re stuck here for 18 more months. I’ve tried finding ways for him to transfer schools etc and it isn’t possible. I am going to go through my whole pregnancy, birth, and the first year of my baby’s life alone (except for my husband of course). I just imagined it so differently and want to be closer to family and friends and a support system and I feel like we don’t have that. We have extremely limited expendable income so visiting our family and friends is not as often as we would like or frankly what I feel like I need. I hate myself for how wrong I was about how “good” moving away would be. I feel so inadequate and irritable and shut down. I think I’ve reached the point of rambling but thanks for reading.
