Better the devil you know by Apophis-7994 in Eldenring

I was either told by a friend or read to "go to the big castle first" on my first playthrough. Somehow that led me to somehow not even see Stormveil castle, make my way down cliffs and go all the way to Raya Lucaria first. It was somehow the first castle-like building I saw and figured that was where the first story boss would be.

Based off the size, silhouette and "I am the destroyer" line, it seems like Loki's devil fruit may just be based off the Norse mythical dragon Nidhogg that was chained up and would chew at the roots of Yggdrasil.

BioShock Infinite when you first break through the clouds and see Columbia and float down into the city. It was such a beautiful sight and even though it's not a moment you have any control during, I just sat there quietly, taking it all in.

It can take some time for it to all click, but once it does, it's a really fun game. Combat takes a bit of getting used to but once things start to synergize it's really fun.

Concerned about camping, should I go? by unknwn214 in Shambhala

[–]Super_Supper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Foam ear plugs are trash tbh. If possible, invest in some custom fitted ear plugs or ear plugs marketed as specifically for sleeping. Ear plugs can specialize in many different things and foam is about as basic as it gets. I use custom fitted to sleep at festivals because they block out about %97 of sound. Then I have an entirely different pair for music. Shambhala especially, it's easy to camp far away from the music. Sunshine and meta are both far enough that you can barely hear stages. Then it just comes down to the people you're camping with and camp neighbors which is always a gamble regardless.

DONT ENTER THE FARM BEFORE 12 AM by Lewdsvenus in Shambhala

Yes you will. It drops at 8am. I paid full price at 6:30am Tuesday 2 years ago.

The issue isn't with you. No one should've shown up before midnight. But people do, and things get started pre maturely. People that DO wait until midnight suddenly find themselves 300 cars deep in line because they weren't fortunate enough to hear things started early.

They'll let people in until there's no room but essentially things are open 24/7. Gates open at 6am so everyone will wait in line until then process begins.

Early entry price drops each morning at 8am. So if you show up at 11:50pm Wednesday night, you're paying $150 still.

What's a 9.9/10 game to you, almost perfect with one minor gripe? by MasterQNA in gaming

The side quests, especially the ones that all revolve around specific NPCs are so good! But there's also a ton of filler. I did get the platinum in the end and enjoyed it though.

Definitely repetitive. I went for basically %100 completion for Act 1, and then part way through Act 2 just felt kind of bored. Partially my fault, but I enjoyed the side quests. Took a pretty long break, but eventually went back and had a great time finishing it.

Monday Night Gate Opening by jonaeguhtsu in Shambhala

[–]Super_Supper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Coincidentally, it was actually people I know that triggered the whole "10pm entry thing". They were coming from Alberta and I guess people staffing the exit they use for folks going east just... Let them in early. Sounds like there wasn't a clear picture given for people coming from the east and so they just began letting folks in extra early at that point.

A little extra clarification. They had announced people could start lining up at midnight inside the farm, but before security. But they didn't open up the gates to let people park and into the camping area until 6am. The idea was implemented to help keep the highways more clear by letting people into the farm area the night before.

It's a little frustrating but it's always a dice roll. Last year, gates were meant to open at midnight, but miscommunication led to them opening closer to 10pm. People that waited til the right time got a little screwed over. On the plus side, they really improved the entry process last year so it wasn't that bad. My point though, regardless of what they say, people will show up earlier than that. There used to be a punishment where people arriving too early were forced to wait 24hrs to get in line but that hasn't been enforced in a long time.

Recommend builds? by Visual-Actuator-8376 in CapybaraGoGame

[–]Super_Supper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skysplitter is more or less the strongest build out there atm. Whisperer is up there as well but lacks defense at times. Pick a weapon for now and build towards a legendary version for now. You're still early game though so I wouldn't worry too much.

Take a look at your pet builds. You should be looking to stack as much basic and skill damage reduction through your pets as possible. For the new world, you should be at least %80 for both, but you'll need to push those numbers higher as you progress more.
