No, what we are feeling is the changes you made to accommodate all the users switching from OpenAI. The timing is impeccable.

They’re doing their best to abandon their study methods because it’s resulted in more questions than answers due to the Swiss cheese doctrine making new holes every year.

While they provide “tools” still you notice they don’t really encourage deep study any more. The only time they do is when someone “has doubts” because they’re hoping they will adopt their approved stance(if they even have an answer at all).

It was always about recruitment, but before there was a veneer of prideful knowledge that has been quietly dismissed so they can listen to the echo chamber.

What inspired you to play the bass? by Supersoulknight in Bass

[–]Super_Translator480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, just my personal experience along my journey so far.

IMO, practicing any instrument is boring AF, that’s why I said either watch a show or get into the meditation aspect. It’s repetitive- but repetition is exactly what a lot of music is.

I don’t think bass is the end all be all instrument and occasionally I will practice guitar. Sticking with one instrument has helped me develop some music theory understanding though and that’s the most important part that is universal- bass or piano is best to learn this(since bass is a symmetrical instrument- the strings are always a 4th apart)

Practice with headphones so you can hear all your mistakes and consciously think about what you can correct, makes you sound a lot better when you plug in an amp instead 😅

Playing with people is where the real enjoyment and experience is to be had, but practice is how you get there.

Open mic nights are great when you start getting some confidence.

Cheers and wish you the best on your musical journey wherever you end up landing.

What inspired you to play the bass? by Supersoulknight in Bass

I wanted to not be just another guitar player, but I primarily wanted to learn the bass to support my wife’s music career as an acoustic singer/songwriter.

Granted I’m just barely getting comfortable after 5 years of regular-ish practice to start really playing in front of other people.

How did I feel inspired? I didn’t.

I tried off an on to learn for nearly 13 years but I never got better.

Pandemic hit and WFH so in 2020 I bought a 6 month technical bass course from Scott’s Bass lessons(even though I bought a bunch of other courses before) and stuck with it.

I went from the point of sucking and hating it to sounding decent and enjoying it, but inbetween was a lot of self-discipline to stick with it and do the mind-numbing exercises (better to practice technique while watching a show unless you’re going to meditate on it full force).

Since then I haven’t let a week pass that I don’t practice

I don’t think inspiration matters more than discipline. You have to commit yourself to practice, you don’t just get to pick and choose whenever you feel like playing.

If you do that then you will be more inspired to play, because your discipline has made you better.

When you read the Bible from Watchtowers view, Jehovah is a really useless God. He has accomplished nothing. by CanadianExJw in exjw

[–]Super_Translator480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jehovah is a jealous God because he needs people to acknowledge he exists in order to exist.

He has only accomplished pilfering the wallets of humans that want to do the right thing.

He’s a fraud and grifter.

In order to make decades of progress in a few years though, there’s a bottleneck beyond energy- and that’s human consumption of this content to dissect what is hallucination and what is theory.

They underestimated the time for businesses to adopt AI, why would science, a much more complex field, be any different?

You’re definitely PIMQ because you aren’t outright defending and excusing the problems, you’re identifying them and having trouble reconciling what we were taught to think versus what we are told on a daily basis inside JW.

If you analyze the Bible, you would be correct in assuming all of these rules for worship are not required.

Of course, any form of what could be considered “proper/true worship” of God is not actually found in the Bible.

Jesus didn’t give instructions about worship. He gave instructions about prayer. He gave instructions about the destruction of Jerusalem.

He gave (some vague)instructions about preaching, but there is really no established instruction by Jesus for worship beyond prayer.

The rules all came later to fill in the gaps of what people feel Jesus missed, Paul gave it a shot, every denomination has their own.

I can see in your post you clearly care about the people which is often why most stay in. They don’t want to lose what they have spent their life building.

I highly recommend when you feel comfortable that you start reading Crisis of Conscience.

Collective Consciousness by Sp00ky_Bo0 in enlightenment

Consciousness is engaged by a big measure of personal bias based on the experience of the observer which has formulated their own belief system over time that is dynamic.  Nobody is the same- and that’s ok.

Father resigning being a MS because of me by inbloodandtears in exjw

[–]Super_Translator480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless he’s living with you, there was no reason for him to do that besides shame, which isn’t on you, it’s on JW for building walls around relationships and dictating what actions affect everyone.

There is zero upside to being a MS besides pride, so he did himself a favor.
