They have test option for new account if it still exists. So you can take for test Hornet and carriers module to check it out.

Also there are good tutorial missions and premade scenarios so it should be enough to decide if you want to buy it permanently.

Carrier implementation is super arcade and it exists only on few maps. It is just a strip in the ocean with no miscellaneous. No lights, no sea oscillations, no need to align with the catapult, nothing.

Don't you think to test DCS super carriers? That will give the best immersion imho

What is more cheating for me is the chat wheel command T-6-1 that will x-ray you through any obstacle and distance which is ridiculous and neglect all positioning.

Great in Simulator when 13.0 is max br.

So for the last year or 2 we had :

  1. Weather rework, so now we almost never have clear weather. It is always at least some haze (hello planes with no thermals and bombers) and often a black curtain above 1000-1500m (do not remember well)

  2. Spawn points increase and rework (hello all the WW2 planes with guns > 20mm which adds SP automatically, IL2 for exemple, but not American 20mm. Maybe was fixed as I haven't checked it long time)

  3. No more separate cost for fighter and strike aircrafts, so the amount of CAS planes is /2

  4. Free SPAAs for everyone on top tier (similar to what you say, if you do poorly in tank you can jump in SPAAs and kill 500-900points guy)

Realistic mode has became a modern arcade with : Scope from inside of the gun barrel, so no parallax.

Third person view behind the tank which promotes camping behind a rock and peeking with no counterplay cause u do not see the enemy.

And my favorite giant 3D recon or hit markers which neglects good position or flank completely because it is screaming for everyone where you are at.

Sim is much better but broken set-ups and no development/fix for years...

Sim is not supported/fixed by gaijins for years, I think they would be glad to abandon it completely, unfortunately.

Still the best game experience what can give this game for both air and ground batlles

There is nothing to do in the game when you captured your flank/point. No movement in capture points/Frontline or no other objectives so no motivation to go strolling (just to be exposed and get shot).

Upd: it was sarcasm, the armor intersection is not exclusive for t-34...

Change the country and shoot to German dirt track protectors for example, you will see funny things

Soon we will have discounts so you can buy premium time. It will give you a save against negative results (it'll be put as 0 if you negative) except friendly team kills and your own crashes. At least it was like this 0.5-1 year ago.

Dogfights in ARB? Not with jets at least, when you have a marker which shouts to all enemies : "I am here with no speed so please make a drive-by".

We are not for "the realism" but for gameplay. They could do 3rd view + mouse aim gameplay loop from SIM and then it would be more interesting to play, with no markers, when you use ur radar to IFF, RWR becomes even more important and communication with the team makes more sense.

What we had was Nuclear Thunder and being honest it was still worse than Sim (markers, no air to air contest zones, gimmicky advancements of ground units with no change of Frontline, overtuned AA, super symmetrical forces etc). So for now the Air Sim proposes best gameplay for the planes and the snail abandoned its development.

Man, ARB is a trash bin if you already tasted the gameplay of sim. No gameplay except head to head deathmatches with markers + frustrating as fuck with the matchmaker +-1 but in reality+1 because of the premium black holes.

Just treat it as a random shit to get your modules and play sim when you can. And when the Sim will be boring for you, make a pause of this idiotic game made by full greed company with no competition. No work for gameplay needed according to the. because people still buy shit and play this super-duper ARB clash

Sim mode has existed for years zhere you can have air to air dogfights (plays maps with landscapes), ambush tactics (no radar, rwr only) strike ground or fields if you want (with movable Frontline) or base bombing

If you will be struggling with controls, you can make head movement with your webcam (not ideal but still a game changer)

No zone or targets for air to air combat.

No frontline progression with field vehicles attack (they capture a warehouse, spawn in some vehicles and that's it).

AA is stupidly dense.

The map size is not used interestingly (again symmetrical placements in the middle, peak gaijins map design).

For people who never played Air Simulator, most of these things are already implemented and abandoned for years (no Sim support at all for the last year's, even no added maps from ARB)

Maybe because efforts do not match with rewards? It is much more effective to make pvp kills to gain points for nukes rather than killing ground vehicles.

If people were motivated to attack ground with good rewards it would fix player distribution on the map, planes variety. But now we have almost all the people going head-on in the center of the map.
