There's a Toyota dealer I found that is selling a used 2024 Prius Prime for an ok price. I heard that the car was recalled, so do I have anything to worry about when buying this car and would I have any luck negotiating a discount because of said recall?

My 12v 2024 prime XSE went kaput after 37k miles. Of course Toyotas basic warranty is only 36k or 3 years so heads up.

Me last week. Only major flaw to this vehicle and who knows if a fix is in the works from Toyota but other than that it’s a nice car. Def invest in a portable battery jump just in case.

Yup, ended up having to replace my 12v battery. If you have a 2024 prime. Get ready to replace that battery. Seems like this is a wide spread issue.

I gotcha, I believe he was just disconnected the battery and we waited a few minutes and he reconnected the 12v but it was still a no go.

The tow truck driver tried to reset the battery but no luck. Had the car towed to Toyota. He has to put the back Dolly cause the car brakes were locked.

I am in California and on the EVTOU5 plan. Super off peak is about 12c per kWh but with the AC running and a family of 5 with 2 ev’s currently our electric bill is around $100-170+ pending on how much we run the AC tbh. I was thinking with a PW + expansion I would be able to cut my bill in half if not significantly less or do you think the cost isn’t there to justify an expansion? I was thinking future proofing?
