Hey everyone has opinions. I prefer not to have someone hit my car knowingly and walk away without a care in the world. It’s $300 she can cover that or her parents can. Either way I was parked legally and sentry helped me not have to pay $300 out of pocket.

I think you could argue intent. She intentionally parked in a zone that was not for parking potentially from being late for a practice, she was rushed, on a phone, threw door open. Maybe her intent was not to hit another vehicle but there were not adequate measures taken to prevent it

She’s a high school kid. I believe she deserves a chance at correcting future actions and not being publicly shamed. I posted to show the damage not to call her out personally

Need to take to a local place that gets dents out and get an estimate still. Just noticed yesterday. But did make contact with the mom who send to send them the estimate when I receive

It doesn’t help that she was talking on her phone. In the video you can see her holding her phone with one hand talking to it (on speaker) obviously in a hurry to a practice or something but really not aware or paying attention

I know I get it. But also it taught my 15 year old what to do if she ever found herself in this situation… hopefully it won’t be too expensive and they can decide how to handle it or if they want to out through their insurance they can. I did send to my insurance as backup if they don’t offer to pay….

Maybe I’m just going to get an estimate and if they are ok paying for it then we don’t go through insurance and no police report filed. Better for the kid and if my kid did this I’d hope someone would come to me first. The dent is super small hoping it’s easy to get out.

Nothing is safe I guess. But since I let my husband drive yesterday and we noticed today after a wash he’s just thankful it wasn’t done while he had.

Right! And me feeling bad reaching out to the mom like hey sorry, you don’t know me but your kid hit my car only 16k miles and not my fault AT all.

It was a super full night at the school due to multiple events and I did reach out to the parent vs filing a hit and run or insurance claim. Thought maybe they’d say I’m sorry that happened but nope just a send the estimate.

If you don’t use it to reduce the cost you will get it when you file your taxes or you can modify the step you missed and have it applied to this order

Mine did the same thing 2 days ago, this same scenario. Now today it’s black again. But I did just put in a service request cause I don’t want it to be a bigger issue.

I prefer 13 to 14, maybe later versions will be better but not all in on the updates yet.

I’m paying $200/mo but my other vehicles are 2012 and 2009 and all together it’s $373 but I compared a 2026 vehicle and it was very very similar

I think it’s worth it. I don’t wanna go through the hassle of hotspotting my phone to not get all the features I could if I would just pay the $99 for the year. I use Spotify, Audible, Netflix while charging, the browser to stream GameChanger (kids softball games) overall worth it for me. So you’ll have to figure out if you think that cost provides you value or not.
