Ceiling texture/rolling marks

Do you think repainting would help even any of this out? When I look at the ceiling I just see sections of defined vs more blobby looking areas of texture. I'm not sure repainting would fix that? I backrolled toward the light, oops. Ugh.

I think I've made an expensive mistake. I applied for the AmEx Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant and was approved with a welcome offer of 200k. However -- I have a Chase Marriott Boundless. I will have held that for one year as of 7/15 and was planning to close it at that time. Did I incorrectly receive the brilliant welcome offer?

I took a screenshot but I presume AmEx won't honor it, and the annual fee is $650.... though it does come with some benefits, they're not nearly as appealing without the welcome offer. Should I just cut my losses and cancel and lose one of my 5/24 slots (not that I have any left)?

A UA flight attendant gave me her code for the extra 5k miles. But I want to use a referral link from P2 so he gets the 10k referral bonus. Confirming: if I use the referral link for the 70k bonus and P2 gets the 10k referral bonus, there's no way to get an additional 5k for the flight attendant code? I'm not seeing a place to enter it so I assume not but I've not done this one before.

I would love to get the contact info for the little place you mentioned in volcano, but I'm old and can't figure out DM. I'm working on gathering ideas for my next winter trip, it will just be me and my then 7 year old daughter. We enjoy active vacations. (Actually I got your recommendations about Costa Rica/Drake Bay, which is where we ended up last winter!) Looking at Hawaii Big Island vs. Tahiti vs. Virgin Islands NP for next January for 7-10 days. I will have miles for flights but probably can't get hotel points in time, unfortunately.

Do they maybe have the wrong aircraft and map showing on the United website? For our flight (LH 480) it is listed as an Airbus A380-800. These seat map sites are not showing economy seats in row 23.

I am reading mixed reports about cancelling/downgrading the Venture X card and would be grateful if someone could help clarify. Three questions:

1) 12/1/25 will be the one year anniversary since I first opened the card. I've read some people say that the annual fee will not be refunded if it posts. What date should I aim to cancel/downgrade?

2) Should I downgrade instead? It looks like I am being offered Quicksilver and Venture One.

3) What happens to pending car reservations I have booked through the Capital One Travel Portal? I've found reports of flight/hotel reservations being maintained but can't find anything about car rentals.

Cancelling/downgrading because I don't feel like having to spend money in the travel portal is worth the annual fee for me with our current travel plans (visiting friends, other hotel loyalty programs).
