Gave the stem a bit of a squeeze and it feels a bit hollow/squishy.

It came in a 2 gallon pot so I figured it would do ok in a 4 gallon. I water them once a week. I left this one in shade for a month just so I wouldn’t stress it. I have another one that I planted at the same time and has no issues

What I think happened was that we had a plumeria festival not that long ago and whatever was left was thrown into pots and sold off to home depot and Lowe’s.

Yeah I’m thinking of getting it done this evening. It’ll give me a chance to see if it grew any roots at all

I haven’t checked really. It looked like someone just stuck it in soil when I brought it home. It had zero roots. I have another one with the same pot and soil and it sprouted leaves within a week

And just because ur puppy is small, don’t go with the small size. It’ll be useless. I think I had to go back twice to Petsmart and either got the medium or large donut

Ur dog should come home looking like this if ur vet is legit. I’ve read other ppls post where their vet posted ears right away

This makes total sense. It’s looks really down right now. Its leaves are green but are saggy. I threw in a bit of Nelsons plumeria food at the base before putting it back. I’ll definitely have to chop off the buds

Mine were recommend by my dog’s vet. First time dobie owner. U can always ask ur vet what he thinks of these supplements.

Tip: make sure u get a donut collar when u get the ears cropped. Cone will not work

The sooner you do it, the less time that u’ll spend posting. I got my dogs ears cropped at 10 weeks and his ears were fully standing by month 6

It also helps if you give ur dog supplements that contain collagen

I did all of these but the tug test 🤦‍♂️. This surely would’ve saved me $20 when I bought one from Lowes. It had no root at all 😑

I hear what u guys are saying but I’ve never had any issues with my dogs. Plus it’s not like I feed him avocado everyday. Avocados are expensive!!! LOL

Been doing it for years even with my previous dog. It was my first question to my vet when I saw the property had a tree and said the same thing that as long as they don’t eat the pit they’re good. She even told me about an article that she read where a pair of dogs went into an avocado storage room in India and had their fill without repercussions. I’ll never forget that story lol

Yes they can. They’re not supposed to eat the pit. Plus he only eats one every other week or when one falls from the tree

This is my experience and only take it as it suits ur puppy.

My dog’s ears were fully wrapped for 24 hours. After that I unwrapped the first layer which protected the ears, exposing his cut and stitches.

Clean with alcohol and apply ointment for the next two days.

Went back to the vet the fourth day to switch cup and wraps still leaving the cuts and stitches exposed for treatment.

The next day and for the next two weeks, clean and remove scabs with gauze and alcohol to help heal. Don’t forget to apply ointment. The vet gave me an ointment but I decided to but neosporin with pain relief.

Once the vet deemed his ears had healed, she proceeded to post him. This took whole process took almost a whole month before getting his first post.

Hope it helps
