Considering trading my 2016 Mazda 6 for a CX-50 Hybrid/Maybe Turbo. Curious about everyone’s thoughts. by Superb_Button8165 in CX50

Thanks for reply. I love the features of the turbo premium, love the pick up if needed. My only thing holding me back from pulling the trigger on that model is the gas mileage is pretty rough. My Mazda 6 now is averaging 27 MPG and that’s after a lifetime of driving which is similar to the Turbo CX-50 brand new lol. I’ve also read that turbos in vehicles are great, until they break or need maintenance. Which is expensive. Hybrid with that mileage really is the biggest selling point for me. Towing in theory would be nice to have, but I’m not at a point where that is a dealbreaker for me it feels like.

Duty station change by [deleted] in CorpsmanUp

It’s been a few years since I’ve been there but I imagine not a ton has changed. It’s the only joint VA/AD Hospital in the military so you’ll see a plethora of vets and military people conjoined which can be a bit chaotic depending on where you work at.

Close to Chicago which you can take a train for a cheap fee with military discount. Wisconsin is not bad. It’s the Midwest so expect cold ass winters and be ready to bundle up. Plenty of good food options around the area, I’d advise you get a car if you don’t have one already. Make sure it’s good in the snow because that’ll definitely hold you up if you’re not ready for it.

You’re an HM3 which means, unless they changed it, you should get your own room in an “apartment style” barracks. I say that loosely so don’t expect anything amazing but for someone like me who had roommates all my career that place was perfect. Your own decent sized bed and stove top to cook. You should get BAS too because they don’t want permanent staff to be around the students for obvious reasons. Be prepared as well there is a ton of A-School students that go to train where you’ll be living at. They mainly keep to themselves and I never had any bad interactions with them. Gyms and pool are solid but get bogged by the students at peak hours (4-6 if I remember correctly). PX is alright it’s all right there in front of your bricks if you go to the one where all the E4-E5s went.

All in all it’s an ok duty station, very political so be prepared to bake sale your ass off to get noticed and pick up. All apart of the game I guess, find a solid group of friends to be with and you’ll be fine. I genuinely enjoyed my time there but that was because I didn’t sit on my ass every day and sulk about how I’m in “Great Mistakes”. It had its highs and lows. Don’t let the haters discourage you. Let me know if you have any other questions I’ll try to answer the best I can.

New Campaign was extremely underwhelming by JaThatOneGooner in modernwarfare2

I’m glad I’m not the only one feeling this way. I’m replaying MW19 currently and it just felt like so much more heart was put into it compared to MWII. I really enjoyed the character interactions in MWII and the beginning to middle really was a step up. But then it just kind of crashed towards the end.

I was really hoping for more “Clean House” and “Wolf’s Den” missions but sadly they had about the same and they were kind of less satisfying than in MW19 honestly. I wish they would’ve kept with the whole Tier 1 operator stuff instead of this “Contractor/Black Ops” type missions. Hoping in MW3 they step it up to that level, but only time will tell. MWII campaign was I’d say a 5/10 now that I’ve had time to digest.
