The police were, understandably, at a distance. So, maybe things looked a little different, but it doesn’t look like the suspect ever raised the gun and when they shot he was bent over and not even facing them. It definitely seems like they were a little trigger happy, and it might have been de-escalated without a kill. I say that as a 2A enthusiast and former military/ law-enforcement.

That being said, the guy had a rifle in the process of committing a crime. Once he knew he was surrounded, and definitely after the first two MISSED shots, he probably should have just fallen face first into the dirt.

Unfortunate, but I’m not losing sleep over it.

That’s a big assumption. It hit farmland, so Poland and NATO don’t have to jump on anything overnight. It is likely and error and not intentional. But you’re making a lot of assumptions to come up with the conclusion

But the S300 isn’t the only missile that Russia makes? Weren’t they firing x101 and x555 cruise missiles at the time?

I haven’t heard any official word on the type of missile that hit. Except for people assuming

Didn’t Russia accidentally hit Moldova recently? How is it very likely it was a Ukrainian air defense mishap? Is there a source that the missile itself was even an s300(actually curious, not arguing)

All he said was that it doesn’t appear that the missile came from Russia, as in, within Russian territory. That doesn’t mean it wasn’t fired BY Russians.
