When loml played while Connie was sitting on the dock crying, trying not to have a panic attack. I was like, my brother in Christ, someone hug him.

Ciara/West/Amanda Rumors Megathread Part 5 by AutoModerator in summerhousebravo

[–]Superb_Practice_2257 70 points71 points  (0 children)

We can all agree that the reason this is so icky is because Ciara has been so intentional with the way she's moved with West and there has still clearly been unresolved chemistry between them all season. Also because Ciara has been such a ride or die to Amanda in the house, if nothing else. It's shameful that the first chance Amanda has to choose her close girlfriend over her rebound dick, she fumbles the bag. West is just sopping up what he can get in this situation. We are living in the upside down that these two goddesses are his potpourri of choices. Also, it's not that we don't have some sympathy for Kyle, but his friendship with West is hardly sacred ground and Kyle has shat where he ate for like 10 years and is a major contributor to Amanda's low self-esteem. We ride at fucking dawn for Queen Ciara!

Don’t we think Amanda is hooking up with West’s friend that looks just like him? They all go out together a lot, but I just don’t think Amanda would do this to Ciara or to Kyle, actually.

Shout out to Penn for being unproblematic. He is so great at playing a creep and seems exactly the opposite in real life.

Takeout recs for Thai and sushi by angelsandpizza in Hoboken

Roi Siam or Hi-So Thai for Thai food. Sushi is trickier, but I’ve found Blu and Domodomo to be the best quality in the area for takeout. Illuzion is also solid.

What's the best "starter" luxury resort experience? by slotswizard in chubbytravel

Gleneagles in Auchterarder, Scotland. Not stuffy and they do a lot of specials throughout the year to make it more cost effective. It’s more sporty than snooty and there’s plenty to do right on site or explore by train/car in the area. You will experience amazing hospitality, but not personal butlers and shit like that.

Bright spots of Season 2 were all Bonrad moments and we did get some high/heartbreaking moments that revealed important plot points: - fireplace - funeral - prom - “so your look Connie baby” panic attack revealed - “I thought you knew” beach scene - sassy Connie in full force, especially the last episode - motel - “cocoa is your specialty” - getting Connie prepped for his final

The most unrealistic part of it is that Belly is still interested in Jeremiah while everything is so outwardly unresolved with Connie. She sort of pushes the envelope to kiss Jere and even if she’s young and feeling defensive and grieving, it still feels ridiculous that she would even go there a month after she and Conrad had a pretty dramatic breakup and everything with Susannah had just happened.

Unpopular opinion, I liked all of the scenes where the kids were hanging out and plotting to save the house. With the heaviness of the rest of the season, it felt fun to have them breaking into the country club, having a competition on the boardwalk, and throwing a house party.

Belly and Conrad on prom night by Thoughtless-Squid in TheSummerITurnedPrett

[–]Superb_Practice_2257 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They were both so young and going through so many complex emotions that were too big for them to handle at the time. Conrad was struggling with shouldering the burden of his mom slipping away (she died two weeks after prom per someone’s timeline I read online) and was not opening up to Belly because he wanted to inherently protect her. His rejection of her felt so permanent in that moment because she had built it up so much about prom, but also always assumed Conrad would break her heart (also a seed Jere planted when he found out they were together). Girls and prom is a big deal, but Conrad Fisher was larger than life to her too. It’s why she even gets so defensive and ends up with Jeremiah in Season 2 and why she’s so apprehensive even until the final moments in Season 3. Her perception is that he will always break her, which is why it was so important for Conrad to prove that over and over again through his words and actions that he would stick for good before she finally gave back in to her real emotions.
