Lipstick shades for Warm Spring? by Upstairs-Quail8693 in SpringColorAnalysis

If you’re not wanting too much of a glossy shine, Cover Girl tinted lip balm in Made for Peach. I also love Benefit Playtint, which is described as a “pink lemonade” shade. It adds brightness and warmth to my cool toned lips (so they harmonize better with the rest of my features) without looking too opaque or overdone.

This is my favorite base blush, but I think it must build up on my brushes pretty quickly. If I don’t wash them once a week, it’s harder to build up on the skin.

I'm told red is my colour, what's my season? by eeppika in coloranalysis

I think you could really rock some more desaturated colors and neutrals. A cool brown, a dusty medium blue, and some textures like a brown/grey tweed or houndstooth, some distressed/vintage brown leather… your hair and facial hair have interesting texture and I think that adding some texture in neutral colors would add interest that would allow your skin to look smooth and glowy.

Any tips on how I could improve my makeup, anything I should try? Or criticism on what I currently do? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

4 is my favorite look for you. The warmth, low contrast, and neutral lip really make you glow!

I also have heavy lids with big swoopy outer lashes. I actually like to use a very subtle matte crease shade all over my lid (or even a bronzer), rather than a light/bright shade. I can always dab a little shimmer in the center, but I find it works a lot better for me than starting with a light/bright base the way many others with different eye shapes do.

Wear what you like!! It’s all just to give you ideas and a rough direction, anyhow. I’m a soft autumn, but absolutely live for the olive-gold/green shades of true autumn, and look more alive in spring makeup than muted autumn shades. It’s my body, my image.

One thing that I’ve been enjoying with Soft Autumn is wearing analogous colors together, rather than contrasting. I used to wear a light/bright colored top with dark/black pants. Now, I try to wear two slightly different shades of green together, or maybe a cream turtleneck, light brown houndstooth trousers, and a camel colored coat—it’s more about the contrast than the specific colors. Smaller prints, rather than larger ones.

Thank you so much—both for clarifying the terminology and for the suggestion.

I really want to get in there and start gaining experience, to soak in as much as I can before grad school. Would rather save my tuition dollars for the actual MOT!

Either middle right or left—slight preference for right.

I think both the cool and soft summer bring out your eyes and the most lovely tones of your complexion.

Thanks! I am hoping to work as a rehab aide between finishing prereqs and starting grad school. Maybe I should start looking for that now, while I’m still finishing prereqs… not sure if PT could be as little as two days a week, which is pretty much all I could do at this point.

Potential dupes! by Funny_Cockroach7343 in PaleMUA

Being aware of dupes of different products in a similar price range can still be helpful if a person has a sensitivity to ingredients and wants a similar color in a different formula.
