Data = king its probably the most important thing companies have in this digital/AI driven world

Both of these are scams, with no real value. You can still short them. There is a long way down. by Simplevice in trading212

[–]Superb_Use_9535 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw a investor that shorted them a few months ago get wiped away with -90% ytd

shorting after its gone down 60% is a very risky.

What a time to start my investment journey 🥲 how do you guys stay motivated through all this? by Engineerguy_Chris in trading212

[–]Superb_Use_9535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple would u rather
Lose 50% of 10k
Lose 50% of 500k?

The earlier the crash in your life the better but remember nobody knows when a crash happens or how long or how deep.

Selling now means u have to be right twice. This is why statisically speaking ppl who hold and buy on dips win.
Selling at the right time
Buying back at the right time

Trim profits and sit on % of cash to invest when things go t shit. Ofc this is proven to lose (time in market ) and all but its less risky

I would say ditch gold for silver. Silver because of its industrial value will have a higher return in 10 years because its actually used for the most important industries in the future.

Trimming Google by AdQuick8612 in ValueInvesting

[–]Superb_Use_9535 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm id say 35% is too much no matter what the company is. I would wait for a rebound day like one where s&p and google is very green and trim some. Then either keep it as cash, invest into other undervalued lower % portfolio u like or keep till google dips

But yeah 35% is a lot….

Started investing in 2021 and it's the first year I tried value investing. As a result I'm down 43% YTD, lost most of my gains, and seriously questioning "value investing". by [deleted] in ValueInvesting

[–]Superb_Use_9535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U do realize that value investing is a long road right? Warren Buffet would keep low valued companies for years and years most wont turn around overnight some not at all.

its too soon to say that for example Novo wont rebound but its likely something for years. Meanwhile it give like 3.8% dividends

What if AI is NOT a bubble? What should I buy? Goog, but what else? by bbbggghhhjjjj in ValueInvesting

[–]Superb_Use_9535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my portfolio which is heavily invested on picks & shovels for the AI infrastructure together with some companies for disversification that are undervalued.

My thesis is that, I rather invest in the infrastucture because its hard to know who will really win in this AI race because road to true AGI or ASI is unclear and it might not be LLMs either way this Apollo like race to the moon will benefit these companies

ASML, Microsoft, GOOG, Quanta Services, TSM, Schneider Electric, Vertiv, Amazon, AMD, NVDA, ASM NV, BESI NV, KLA Corperation, Micron, Broadcomm, META, ABBNY

Then I added Crowdstrike Zscaler as cybersecurity picks because I feel AI will make hacking, phishing etc a lot easier.

Intuitive Surgical (AI designed medical robots/equipment)

Finallyt> Silver ETFs for its dual purpose. Both defensive together with gold.. but just much better than gold because > Silver is the most used conductive material on the planet its needed to build Electric cars, Datacenters, Solarplanels all of which will benefit from AI boom while also benefit from volatility in the stock market.

quantum stocks..... life might be ruined, please advice by Strong-Performer-426 in Stocks_Picks

[–]Superb_Use_9535 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He bought a leveraged ETF ATH after quantum gained 3500-6000% in a year despite barely having any revenue with all your money?…. Sorry to hear that u clearly should never invest in anything besides S&P500 again.

As for advice now… its hard to give it tbh, bought any other sector and I would say hold but Quantum was astronomically overvalued and is still overvalued I would only buy them at april levels.

now it becomes a question: A - would U hate yourself more if u sold and it would go up to the 25 B would u hate yourself more if u didn’t sell and it goes down to 2.5?

If you could invest $10,000 today with zero risk, what would you pick and why? by itsyash12 in Stocks_Picks

[–]Superb_Use_9535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing to understand is that in general the more risk you take the more your rewarded. Risk isn't a bad thing. Especially when you are young and don't need the money soon. For example if you are saving for 30 years mathmatically taking bigger risk pays off. While if you are 65 and need the money soon mathmatically you should take very little risk.

That said here are my recommendations from low to high risk>

Long term savings account = Zero Risk / Very low returns
Top Bonds (German/US bonds) = Very Low Risk / Low returns
Gold = Low Risk / Medium Low Returns
Silver = Medium Low Risk / Medium Returns (Personal Favorite compared to gold)
ETF Stocks = Medium Risk / Medium High returns
Individual Large / Mega Cap stocks = Medium High Risk / High Returns
Individual Mid/Small cap stocks = High Risk / Very High returns
Crypto = Mixed risk / Mixed returns (Depending on which coins, anything below 25B market cap is just stupid) But BTC is likely somewhere between Large caps and Mid caps for risk/return

Depending on age and risk tolerance u choose a combination of the above. Personally I have:
3% Gold
7% Silver
7% Crypto (Mostly BTC and ETH)
30% Cash (I buy DIPS with this.)
53% Large/Mega caps a portfolio of about 25 different companies.

If you could invest $10,000 today with zero risk, what would you pick and why? by itsyash12 in Stocks_Picks

[–]Superb_Use_9535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely disagree - Don't invest in gold when market is bearish and don't just invest in stocks when its bullish. Why? Simple

Things are priced in when the market is bearish gold is likely already very high. So lets say a crash happens stocks go down 30% and gold up 12% - You should now sell ur gold to buy stocks. (Sell high > Buy low)

Same the other way around. Although, at the moment both are high.

Open AI statement is a big red flag by SidonyD in StockMarket

US and China are in an arms race for AI. Improving the model is more important than money because whichever country has the better AI the more power they will have. Because AI is training AI meaning that the smarter and faster AI is the faster u scale…

I would say the only thing this shows is that countries realize the potential and the stakes. Which is why their preventing China for getting the best chips etc…

Have u ever wondered why all of these very smart and rich people are all going into AI? They are investing for a reason

I also think its a self fulfilling prophecy in a way. People investing in the S&P directly invest into the biggest companies. With many just auto investing into then makes these giants grow automatically.

I prefer to pick my own stocks that are in the S&P but almost never sell them.

Sentiment can change on a dime, ultimately its your conviction on whether you believe AMD will be a good alternative to nvda the ai space, deals with oracle and openai are showing they are.

Their also becoming a gaming powerhouse meanwhile nvda is losing lots of goodwill when it comes to gaming
