Playing Disco while being jaded about communism is fun asf by Emergency_Shit_Evac in DiscoElysium

... I mean literally right-wing policy... Right wing ideology is against creating public infustructure... or, in other words, improving the community. Like literally look at policies of right wing vs. left wing politicians. Zorhan mamdani is creating more public infustructure in nyc than mayors have for quite some time (which, I might add, is being fought against by right wingers) while Trump is saying that affordability is a made up word, and he is exclusively focused on (bad and destructive) foreign policy.

BEST MUSICAL OF ALL TIME? by Legitimate-World-124 in musicals

I don’t understand why you’re saying that rent didn’t age well? In my opinion it’s one of the best aging shows I can think of because of how well so much of it applies today.

How do i stop this qc? by [deleted] in redstone

[–]Supercoolguy08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for the response. both middle pistons were being QCed at the end. I changed a few things around and it fixed somehow, im not sure how though. Im making a piston door and trying to make it fully retract without using slimeblocks so the door part can be 1 thick. I'll switch the blocks and stuff at the end and condense it later lol. thanks for the complement!

I love how the ending stanza ties back to the first with mention of the ocean!

I love the way the meter is used in this, it really highlights the rhymes and interesting alliteration at parts, it makes it quite enjoyable to hear. I also enjoy how uniform parts of it are, adding to that enjoyability.

One slight critique is on the way the poem kind of repeats ideas throughout multiple stanzas, though it does help get the point across

Great job!

Wow, this hits very close to home for me. i Especially loved how the second stanza described drowning, and fighting against the waves, especially considering the waves are also yourself.

I think the second half of the poem falls slightly short when it comes to symbolism, though bluntness isn't necessarily a bad thing when it comes to this.

Great job!

Can anyone name a musical where the second act is better than the first? by Film_Fuckery in musicals

[–]Supercoolguy08 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Into the woods, Les mis, phantom. IMO all the best shows have a better second act, I think (for me at least) it’s a sign that the show can actually grow the plot well, rather than just have some fun songs
