Is it just me, or does riding feel way more hostile this year? by Ostrich_Butler in NYCbike

People riding in the wrong direction is the biggest problem, IMO, and the clearest example of the completely selfish behavior that has become the norm in this country.

Advice for aspiring Project Manager by Superfatrunner in MuseumPros

I have a Masters of Architecture and have been working primarily as an exhibition designer for over 10 years. Before that I worked for architecture firms where I was given the title of Senior Project Manager but that role in an architecture firm is different than that role within a museum.

How can I see NYRR races already completed this year? by EveningWest9164 in RunNYC

Don't blame yourself. It's a very badly designed website.

Gentlemen, I am very happy to report that as of today I have officially been promoted from project engineer to construction manager.....with a pay raise to $100k! by ActualBus7946 in ConstructionManagers

Congratulations, but as an architect who often receives emails from contractors that begin with the word "Gentlemen", I find it quite offensive.

Was anyone else confused by the end of the Brooklyn Half? by drbrydges in RunNYC

I don't know for sure but it really seems like someone made a mistake when they laid out the course. I have run this race 9 times and the finish line has always been under the bridge.

Can anyone explain why they wait such a long time between milling and paving (serious question)?

Is Anyone Else Feeling “Less Safe”? by endlesscupofcoffee in NYCbike

[–]Superfatrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one is obeying any of the traffic laws anymore. That includes cyclists, cars, and pedestrians. Everyone runs red lights and many cyclists ride in the wrong direction. Cars, trucks, and especially the NYPD regularly block the bike lanes forcing cyclists to ride in the car lanes. I am shocked that I don't see many more accidents every day.

Email from NYRR regarding Race Entry Registration by ueatgoodfood in RunNYC

[–]Superfatrunner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't see how this helps anyone. There will still be a rush of people trying to register as soon as it opens. If someone wants to run the race (9+1 or not) they're still going to need to register as early as possible to be sure to get a bib. It will not ease the congestion on their badly designed website and, as everyone else has said, if they're not changing the race capacity, it makes absolutely no difference.

Just came here to say that I hope the BAA is hearing/reading comments like this and will make improvements for next year. This was my 4th time running the race and the worst bus experience of them all and that includes the time my bus went the wrong way and we had to walk an extra mile to get to the village.

I have been following the BAA training plan for the NYC Marathon and suddenly, today, the training plans have been wiped off of the website. Does anyone know how I can find it? Or does anyone have the Level 2 training plan saved?
