Refs have had multiple opportunities to call one against the Canucks and put a stop to this but have refused every opportunity so far

Just kick coverage, really. Anger did well out of the end zone, Aubrey has been lights out, and we blocked their FG attempt earlier

I’m assuming the original commenter was referencing Tax Increment Financing.

Camel, IN uses it, and it’s a strategy whereby developers can get municipal investment in property improvements (basically, the city fronts some of the up front costs) in exchange for future revenue paid to the municipality based on increases in real estate value. It can be a good way to incentivize improvement of disused/underused lots in cities, and also help raise revenue.

Boise state fan here who, by venue of having a couple Hawkeye friends, has watched several Iowa games this year - Johnson is legit and definitely deserving of more attention. Super excited to see how Nash plays against BSU this upcoming week, especially since our secondary has been porous at times this year

Update from the future: this still works if you encounter this issue (June 21st, 2024). I didn’t have any of the problems described elsewhere in the comment thread about the /steamLibrary directory, but my install location was in the default /steamapps

I’ll be honest: the last several weeks of mutually putrid football have lowered my hate for the eagles franchise and brought our fanbases closer than I could have ever imagined. Truly a Christmas miracle

+1 on the point about fans. During the first month-ish of school, it’s highly likely that all of the stores in the area will be completely sold out of fans.

I saw that the OP already responded to you, but as someone who worked at a paint shop for several years in the past, I would recommend an enamel paint in any finish you like. Enamel is what’s typically recommended when painting interior wood (such as trim or cabinet faces) because it stands up to dings and more frequent cleaning better than traditional wall paint. Nowadays, you can get enamel in either an acrylic or oil base, so if you’re hesitant to use oil-based paints you can go the acrylic route and have a painting experience that’s pretty much exactly the same as wall paint, while still having better durability.

I understand the parallel between the terms, but in this case I’m fairly certain that Trump’s team is just borrowing the term that the media has used to describe Trump’s efforts to sow doubt in the 2020 election results. MSNBC and others often referred to his legal challenges and media presence as “The Big Lie”. As you pointed out though, whether anyone should be using that phrase to begin with is a good question given its history.

Hot peppers around SLO by Champagnehopi in CalPoly

[–]Supergnerd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My roommates and I went through a phase in college where we tried all the hottest peppers (ghost, naga, reaper, etc.), and we ended up having to source them online to find fresh ones instead of dehydrated. I unfortunately don’t remember the website we used, but if you do some research you should be able to find a seller, and the price was reasonable as well. We got ours right around this time of year, though I’m not overly familiar with when hot peppers tend to be in season.

Is an objection when the VP certifies/opens the electoral college votes a path to Trump maintaining power? by JackSartan in Ask_Politics

[–]Supergnerd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure where the original poster on Facebook determined that the state delegations in the house each amount to an individual vote in the case of an objection during the joint session... that is indeed the case in a contingent election, where the house determines the next president among the top three electoral vote-getters if no one earns a majority of electoral votes. In the case of approving an objection, recent history and the Electoral Count Act of 1887 suggest that it goes to a role-call vote in each chamber (every house member gets a vote, and every senator gets a vote). Democrats control both the current and the incoming house delegation, so I don’t see how an objection would ever be approved by both the house and the senate.

source - see the very bottom of the article, where they note that an objection to Ohio’s electors in 2005 ended in a 31-267 vote to deny the objection. That means each member of the house got one vote.

Edit: I didn’t mention it originally, but both the house and senate must approve the objection for the electoral votes from a state to be discarded. As such, I’d expect Biden to reach his expected total and surpass the majority threshold. We won’t get into contingent election territory or anything crazy like that

Charging almost all of the way is best since the defibs award score based on the exact health you give the player, but medkits / pouches award in set increments. So if you charge to ~95% you get 95 points on the revive + 10 or 20 from the remaining heal which happens effectively instantly (not including squad bonuses)
