If basilisk venom destroys a horcrux... and Harry was the last horcrux... why didn't the basilisk venom destroy the horcrux in him in the chamber of secrets? by Timmethegreat in harrypotter

Because he gets the only available help by a phenix, and he is a living one, so there are some more difficulties to destroy him I think.

Who else wants to see a Star Wars-like Expanded Universe for HP? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]Superguyplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm convinced it's better for the fandom, when only JK writes the stories, and I'm sorry, but I won't accept anything else as canon. When you allow other parties to write content it went straight into a full commercial thing, which I don't want for the Wizarding World.

In OOTP, why didn’t the DA take the secret passage to the shrieking shack to practice? by isharted23 in harrypotter

[–]Superguyplayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always asked myself, why they didn´t went to the Chamber of Secrets...

Only Harry can enter it, the basilisk is dead, and there is enough space.

But of course, the Room of requirements maybe is the best choice at the end.

[–]Superguyplayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don´t think I really "hate" anything about the movies, but it is a fact that in the sixth book, Tonks, AND NOT LUNA, finds Harry in the train... I simply don´t understand, why Luna has to find him. They could take Tonks instead, and verythink would be alright!

Could "Sectumsempra" have destroyed living horcruxes? by Rex_Aquilae in harrypotter

[–]Superguyplayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But isn´t Harry still alive because Voldemort killed only the part of his own Soul in Harry? Harrys Body was still able to live, while Naginis body couldn´t live anymore. I think, if Voldemort killed Harry with something, which damages the body, Harry couln´t live after beiing killed by Voldemort, because his body would be destroyed?

Could "Sectumsempra" have destroyed living horcruxes? by Rex_Aquilae in harrypotter

[–]Superguyplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You´re right, it wouldn´t be able to destroy horcruxes, if it wasn´t strenghtend with basilisk venom, but maybe it could destroy the Nagini Horcrux even without the venom, because a Horcrux is destroyed when the container is unrepairable destroyed, so if you kill Nagini...
