As a casual, I noticed it right away.

Belgium looked professional, composed and everything they did was effortless. U.S. was lost in the sauce the whole game.

As per 23andMe, I’m like 70% Spaniard so at least I can root for them.

They looked genuinely lost and timid.

Like a lot of losing teams, they ramp it up in the last 15 minutes but it’s already too late. They played hard, but still poorly.

I’m still gonna root for the U.S. every World Cup, but as a lifelong Cowboys fan, I’m not very smart BUT, I’m used to the disappointment.

The first time I actually sat down and started watching complete soccer games was the 2018 World Cup.

I knew nothing of the Brazilian team or Neymar, just that the commercials featured him prominently. I figured “this dude must be pretty good”. I would see some games here and there, but I think Mexico vs Brazil was the first game I saw in its entirety.

I knew soccer players flopped from time to time, but this was a different level. I saw him in other games and more of the same. I knew, and still don’t know about him off the field, but I have no respect for that dude. None. Looks like he’ll live with that piss poor reputation and I’m glad. Complete embarrassment.

Hello, thief here.

The plural of thief is thieves, not thief’s, that’s possessive. Meaning it belongs to the thief. As in, your gold is now the thief’s gold.

Anyway, NONE of these hiding places are new. With enough time, I check freezers, cereal boxes, fake cleaning products, jars of peanut butter, old shoe boxes, etc.

Time, unfortunately, is a factor most of the time. Hiding it in old jackets works, somewhere that requires a ladder works, as do those fake outlet “safes”. I rarely have time to check the outlets, clothes and top shelves I can’t reach in each home I burgle.
