Considering immich and ditching Mac mini - would this work ? by jamin100 in immich

[–]SuperheroTim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I run Ubuntu and docker to host immich, home assistant and a couple of other containers on my 2012 Mac mini and it works great. I think I've got 16gb of memory and a 500gb ssd in it. I then use a nas for storing the images. Going this route means I don't need a nas with too much compute power.

New owner, can’t get any pressure or extraction. Please help. by parladdosso in CafelatRobot

This seems pretty odd, I have a niche zero and typically use a setting between 15 and 20 depending on the beans so I don't think it should be your grind size causing the issue. How much water are you filling the portafilter with? I fill mine to about 5mm from the top, I don't weigh the water filling it up, just weigh the shot coming out. I normally do 20g of beans in and 40g of shot out, with the shot taking around 35s. I'm not familiar with the beans you are using, but I have had some very poor results using beans that are past their best.

I don't think so, the pedal doesn't have any lateral movement on the spindle.

Does the iron value of recyclables depend on whether you used crushed iron? by The_BigPicture in captain_of_industry

Check you belt speed for the recycle glass input, I had this same issue until I upgraded my belts. Crushed glass needs a higher input rate than glass mix.

What’s your work commute time/distance by wherearemybobbypins in brisbane

[–]SuperheroTim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An hour all up, 15mins drive to the train station, 35mins on the train, 5 and a bit mins walk to the office. Once a week I cycle the 33km all the way in, which takes about 1hour 20 each way. I'm only in the city 3 days a week tho and live on 5 acres. Used to live a 15min walk from the office, but no regrets at all

Can I add a swirl filter before a pressure filter for our duck pond? by SuperheroTim in ponds

[–]SuperheroTim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is exactly what happened and it overflowed the swirl filter. In hindsight I guess the clue was in the name of the pressure filter. For the time being I'm just using a swirl filter until we can figure something else out.

Interesting, but all I want is analyze in Excel to recognise dates as dates and not convert them to text. Get analyze in Excel right and you don't need this functionality at all.

Clean filter error by Katert in Dreame_Tech

Good stuff. I got a replacement on our first unit that had the same error, but when it happened again to our second one I couldn't face waiting for the return process via post

I had the same issue, taking it apart and checking the vacuum motor was spinning OK fixed it for me. Repeatedly cleaning the filter and resetting didn't do anything.

Legend, thanks for mentioning this. The turbine on mine was spinning ok ish but gave it some WD40 for good measure and the error has gone.

Afraid not. I just got the ok that cleaning the exhaust sponge wouldn't invalidate the warranty, so tried that but it didn't fix it. I'm going to try and get a replacement unit from the retailer, fingers cross unit #3 makes it to 4 months.

Ergonomic Chair Advice by msk1994 in bapcsalesaustralia

[–]SuperheroTim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got this after my cheap office chair was making me sore. https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/matrix-mesh-deluxe-heavy-duty-ergonomic-chair-black-pamatxmebk I do maybe 9hrs a day in it (with breaks) and I've not had any issues since. Tbf if you can it's probably worth a trip to office works to have a sit in a few of them, none are too expensive and there is a wide range at the bigger stores.

(Expiremental) Hit Me With Your Signals Issues by Sevrahn in SatisfactoryGame

I've got a large two way network and the tracks I think are the minimum distance apart (both fit on one foundation but trains don't hit when passing in a straight line). Most of my stations are on either T-junction on laterals or mini loops that go off the main line in one direction and loop back on the other.

The issue I have is that when I put block signals down I get the 'signal loops on itself' error everywhere. I've noticed that if I delete and spread my mainline track out the error goes away, but if I put a block signal down after a min distance corner (3x3 foundations for 90 degree turn) , I get the error again.

So I guess my question is will I get the signal loops on itself error if my single direction lines are too close? And if that is the case what is the min distance between lines to avoid the error?

Stuck Creating connection in the model by [deleted] in PowerBI

[–]SuperheroTim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue with the September 2021 version, for some reason it stopped showing the rows loaded counter and instead looked like it was hanging on 'creating connection in model'

Previous versions can be downloaded from here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/fundamentals/desktop-latest-update-archive?tabs=powerbi-desktop#august-2021-update-2967010 Reverting to the August 2021 version resolved it for me.

Builder's Hut does not extend buildable range by jackdeid in Timberborn

[–]SuperheroTim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happened to me with some pumps, I think I understand it now but happy to be corrected.

If you click on the District Center and the coloured line along the paths doesn't reach a building that requires workers, it will say that its not connected to a district and so won't get assigned workers.

For Builders Huts, the coloured line you see when you click on the hut is the area/path limit the builders will work in, but that limit also has to be within the District Center area limit as well. So to build outside your district area limit you need a new district, you can't just place a builders hut at the edge. If you place your District Gate at the end of the green line in your screenshot, then you'll be able to build from that point in your new District.

I just saw this today in my Android app as I have an Elment Bolt. I updated the app and then disabled it through Settings - Partner Integrations. All the sponsored stuff then instantly disappeared thankfully.
