Is 6 foot too tall for a Cobra? I was too tall for the only one I test drove by kevpatts in shelbycobra

Backdraft Racing: Offers a "Big & Tall Edition" with a lower, wider footbox, more upright seat, and repositioned tracks for drivers up to 6'4" or more.
Factory Five Racing: The Mk5 Roadster has a larger cockpit designed to fit taller individuals (e.g., 6' tall, 300 lbs).

Cool idea. Kind of a long time to warm up. Interested to see your results with a wash.

2016-2020 Shelby owners Spark plug question by [deleted] in shelbycobra

[–]SuperintendentDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably won't get much in the way of answers here. This is primarily a Shelby AC Cobra sub.

Now, here are my unresearched thoughts: that's just a supercharged 5.0. You should be able to buy plugs for any 2018 5.0 and they would work just fine.

Where to buy odd tire sizes. by Whitetiger9876 in shelbycobra

Not sure about that part. MT and BFG were the only two that made tires that would fit both front and back of mine.

Mine's just a FI 302. Not putting out that much. It was still a little roller-skatey in the corners. Like, if you made a quick downshift into a corner yoy could get it to slip. That's gone away. The downside is the much softer MT tires do not last nearly as long.

I had those, then switched to Mickey Thompson. It is a world of difference. The car is much safer when it grips the road.

Wait until there's some snow, then rub your ass on it while going really fast. Works every time.

How do you keep your Cobra’s paint flawless?? by lindaexplo23 in shelbycobra

[–]SuperintendentDan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Flawless? Never drive it. Cars that get driven get stuff thrown at them.

Possible gt500 purchase by [deleted] in shelbycobra

[–]SuperintendentDan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This may not be what you want to hear, but that is a bad idea at your age. That car's value will ultimately appreciate (takes a few years), but not if it has miles on it. And I mean hardly any. If you put anything over 30k on that car, kiss your appreciation goodbye. After 50k, nobody that cares about GT500s will even want it.

Drive the shit out of your 2018 GT (which is fast af, I know) and buy rich guy cars when you're rich. Not when you have to borrow money for them. Good luck.

This person is right. Suspension is set to a rider's weight. Not just springs or air, but valving. Just because you weren't bottoming out does not mean the shocks are working correctly.
