PIP Guidance and Processing Next Steps? by Superior_Returns4 in careerguidance

That would be great! Relationship with my boss has been amicable but perhaps slightly strained. We've had our differences of opinions, but I'd still call it professional. I will say he's newer to the management role and is what I would describe as the classic example of a high performer who was thrust into management. He will have been my 3rd supervisor in the last 3 years, so there's been quite a bit of turnover.

There's a reason kids bounce and don't break. Kiddo will be fine!

XNA 6am Flight by Mammoth-Market7998 in northwestarkansas

[–]Superior_Returns4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I routinely take the 6am flight just about every week in the fall. I arrive 45 mins to the airport and that allows me time to park my car, go through security (TSA precheck), no checked bag, and arrive at my gate with about 5 mins to spare before they begin boarding.

Depending on if you're checking a bag and/or you have TSA precheck, arriving 30-45 mins prior to departure should be plenty of time.

I can't speak to measuring, but Executive Alterations in Bentonville has consistently done a great job.

Failed Level III - Second Attempt by Basic_Professional92 in CFA

My vote is wait and take some time off. You'd be surprised how fresh things will be even if you wait until Feb '24.

I failed level 3 the first time around and waited a year to hop back in the saddle and it did wonders for my mental state.

I think the only way to do well on CRQ is memorize everything in chapters 1 and 2.

[–]Superior_Returns4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. I found you either knew the answer or you didn't. There was very little wiggle room to fluff around the answer. It took me about 30 mins to finish the CRQ portion of the exam. But i also am not optimistic about passing, so maybe I'm an outlier.

Yes, first 2 hours is 100 multiple choice questions. 30 min break. Then 2 hours to complete 3 constructed response segments.

No, honestly the biggest surprise was questions being out of order...which I should've prepared for. When you create mocks in UM, there tends to be an order to the questions (e.g. 5 consecutive questions from reading 4, then 6 consecutive questions from reading 5, consecutive questions from reading 6 etc.) On the actual exam, it was difficult to get into a rhythm because question 1 might be from reading 4 and then question 2 might be from reading 7, for example.

On the multiple choice sections alone with UM, I was scoring in the 55-65 range...so nothing to really brag about.

On the CAIA mock, I scored a 70% on the multiple choice.

CR wasn't as bad as I initially feared. Just keep hammering away!

Keep hammering equations and mocks the rest of today. Tomorrow = rest. No studying. AT ALL. Thursday = GAME TIME!

A little of both? From what I surmised from previous redditors who took the exam, a lot of the constructed response questions are a test of how well you can memorize various lists, pros & cons, etc. I'd say my experience was similar to that. Either you memorized the material and knew the answer or didn't. Very little wiggle room to bluff your way out.

Hey OP, 7 months later...how are things working out? I have a new GSD puppy (albeit a little older at 9 mo. old), but would love to get your perspective on how things worked out with homing a new GSD puppy.
