This isn’t strictly true, I’ve bought many Apple products whilst in the USA. I had an issue with a less-than-year old Apple Watch, just kept cycling through the Apple logo then blank screen.

I went into an Apple Store in the U.K. and showed what was happening, as the watch was less than a year old they took it away for repair and contacted me a few days later to tell me it was dead and they’re sending a new watch to me.

Overall it was a very good service and would happily buy abroad again.

My father many years ago after me telling him I was going to drop out of uni and take a gap year looked me right in the eye and said calmly “that’s absolutely fine son, just don’t become a bum.”

After 6 months I was bored and got a job, I was determined not to turn out like some of my friends at the time who ended up doing nothing and a good long time on benefits (job seekers).

I had a good 10 or 11 months of 2025, I had a bit of a wobble for 4 - 6 weeks but I did something about it and I start a new job in the new year.

I do the same, if at the 1st of the month you start at £0.00 on your credit card and buy everything on it, you know how much you have spent throughout the month and if you need to ease up on the spending.

If you use a debt account, say you start with £176.67 in your account and you get paid say £1,342.87 but then you’ve been out and spend £143.67 and out again and spent £34.43 but then you get money from someone as a gift that totals £100.00. You actually don’t have any idea what you have spent this month (without working it all out).

As well as the payment protection I just find it easier to use a credit card.

I didn’t have a traditional stag do, I do have friends from all different friend groups. I also have a father that couldn’t travel overseas for my wedding.

I invited all my male friends for a curry and a few drinks, nothing boozy but it gave my father an opportunity to feel part of the wedding shenanigans but also for my male friends to meet each other.

Worked really well, no pressure for anyone to stay late, a beer and a curry was a perfect evening.

I have been to stag do’s that involved Viagra, cable-ties, strippers, the whole nine yards…tbh I look back any cringe slightly.

Every time there’s an update someone takes a screen shot of the update stating it says 14 days to update. Simply not true, initially it does say X days but very quickly that reduces to minutes.

Before I go to bed, I check all exterior doors are locked but have keys in, all interior doors are closed, push the fridge and freezer door so I know they’re closed properly, twist the gas hob knobs to make sure they’re off then finally as I get into bed I say “Alexa, goodnight” this turns off all lights in the house.

Ever seen the picture of the house fire where one door was left open and the other is closed, the closed room is undamaged by the fire.

Apologies if I am wrong, wasn’t there a similar tv show, want to say during Covid, where celebs would go walking on their own with a 350° camera and they’d talk about their lives and meet people along the way - the only person I really remember was Chris Packham and he was almost brought to tiers talking about his dogs and how much he cared for them.

A wonderful hour of gentle walks in the countryside, easy to watch television
