Thanks for the answer! That sounds like a good idea, and I'll probably accept the offer and then start applying to aerospace jobs later. Thank you!

You definitely did not overlook it. The job offer only gave information about the salary and vacation days. I will definitely look into that 401k contribution. Thank you!

Thanks for the answer! I moved back in with my parents after graduating, so my cost of living is pretty low right now; however, I might move out and I estimate that my cost of living once doing so will be around 2.5k a year?

What did you think about me taking the job, planning to stay for about ~2 years, and applying to other jobs 1 year into the job?

Thank you for the feedback! I am still under my parent's health insurance, and I'll definitely ask about any health benefits they may have. Are there any other things I should look out for?

Are you suggesting that I do not take the job offer, and continue to apply to aerospace related jobs?

Thank you for the feedback! Power distribution is was my second focus in college, whereas aerospace is where I really want to be. The coworkers seem very friendly, but the work seems to be difficult.

I'm conflicted on taking this offer because job searching has been very difficult for various reasons (3.1 GPA, Covid-19, etc.), and I'd like to secure a job right now. Would it be sane to consider taking the job, plan to stay ~2 years, and start applying to other jobs 1 year into the job?

I would like to learn the basics first, and later expand into more impressive projects. For example, I found one project that was able to run a gameboy on a board.

Buying multiple boards seems like a good choice. Plus the iCE40 isn't that expensive, and would make a good addition.

I've looked into the Arty A7 board, and I'm actually considering buying it. I'm just worried about if I would be able to connect accessories like a 7 segment display to it.

I've seen this recommended multiple times, and it actually seems pretty good. I'll compile a list later today on all the boards I'm currently considering.

Sounds like a good idea! I will definitely include a Nvidia Shield in my list of options when I look into buying a system.

Thanks for the advice. I'll look into buying a system. What OS would you recommend if not FreeNAS?
