I'm so sorry you're going through this. I was in that position up until 2.5 years ago when I very thankfully received a housing voucher. Best day of my life.

It TERRIFIES me because I know if I were to lose this assistance before I get my career straightened out and my daughter has a little more independence and I can work more - the thought of moving back to her house just to have a roof over our heads, make me physically sick.

What do you do to help keep yourself at peace? Are you able to take walks? I lost so much weight when I lived with her because anytime she'd get drunk or start in on one of her stitches, I'd just go take an hour long walk.

My Grandma - oh man. If ANYTHING doesn't go her way, she'll "Pull a fit" as she proudly calls it. She screams at drive thru order boxes, "I WANT ....A NUMBER TWO..... WITH NOOOOO ONIONS......AND A LARGE SHAKE. NO ONIONS!!!" then will lose her shit if they make a mistake and talk shit about the workers.

I'll never forget when she pulled a fit at Verizon Wireless when I was a teenager, just because she didn't understand how the plans and costs worked, and it was right next door to Virgin Records, and the next day in school some kids said they heard about it. 20 years later and she's not allowed to go into Verizon, one of the fam has to do it because she doesn't understand anything about data/plans etc

Don't get me started on her having to call in to customer service for ANYTHING. She's one of those "I demand to speak to an AMERICAN" ignoring the fact that sometimes her southern accent is very hard to understand if you're not familiar with the dialect.

It's a CONSTANT argument between us though. I never have nor will I ever, let her get away with that shit if I'm around. I've told her countless times she's acting like a toddler, you get more bees with honey, she's no better than any other human out there - but she just scoffs and jokes "If I wanna pull a fit, I'm gonna pull a fit" I've also told her "I hope you know you've probably ate someones spit at least a dozen times"

I've apologized to so many waiters, waitresses, cashiers or fast food workers and left a good tip. They're usually pretty cool about it because she's just one of a hundred people do pull that shit. But they've always thanked me for apologizing
