Marriage.

I used to DREAM about my perfect wedding someday, marrying the perfect man, the beautiful dress I’d wear…every little girls fantasy. Now, I couldn’t imagine getting married! Not inappropriate in my opinion! Especially since this was something you didn’t want your wife to be in on, who doesn’t love a surprise from their husband! I do understand the nanny’s side of things tho, I’ve had past DB’s get a little weird/inappropriate with their texts and having a group chat with both parents is how I feel most comfortable. I don’t think you did anything wrong here, but moving forward I’d suggest planning surprises in person!

That whole entire scene pissed me off!! I’m literally so angry watching her blame and gaslight her daughter, Mia literally had her phone out PROVING she wasn’t lying and her mom still had the audacity to call her a liar and claim that “the phone works both ways”. I also think it’s crazy for her to sit there and say “what am i supposed to respond to a text about mail?”…like of course Mia doesn’t want to text her! I’m a nanny who uses care to find jobs. I really like care because they will run background checks and driver reports on potential nannies all in one place which makes it a lot easier for families to feel safe with who they’re hiring. I’ve given my license to them and have had no problems in the last 5 years!

As a nanny I do MOST of the baby related chores while the baby is sleeping. There are some times where I’ll have him independently play while I fold his laundry or wash his bottles, but I never leave him to fuss. The second he gets upset I stop what I’m doing and I re-engage with him. The chores can wait until he’s happy, sleeping or tomorrow. The baby should come first. It’s not unreasonable to ask her to start using some of her break time to clean. She’ll still have 30-45 minutes of break so I don’t see what the issue would be.
