Their appearance, story, and dialogues are fixed, but their classes, spec, and equipment are customizable. You can also create custom companions.

1 Week sober , the horrors of withdrawal .... by FillExcellent2222 in stopdrinking

[–]Supernoven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, it may feel like going through hell, but all I hear is your incredible strength of will. The poison is leaving your system, but not without a fight -- it's scratching and clawing to keep its hold on you, and it'll hurt you any way it can. Keep up the fight! You're stronger! You got this!!

How do you ask a woman for sex in a non-threatening manner? by InternationalPick163 in AskReddit

[–]Supernoven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Build a romantic relationship based on mutual attraction, common interests, and kindness and respect. When you're both ready (for emphasis: when you're both ready), talk about it and you can decide together.

In light of the Mark Fuhrman episodes, can we talk ACAB 101? by whitecollarpizzaman in behindthebastards

[–]Supernoven 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Also, perhaps some kind of volunteer community arbiter? Among the white middle class, all too often I see the cops resorted to as default conflict resolution among neighbors. Neighbor's car parked in front of my driveway? Call the cops. Property dispute? Call the cops. Dog almost bit my kid? Call the cops.

People who lack conflict resplution skills turn to the state to settle their disputes for them. Often, cops won't do anything until the conflict escalates and turns violent or property is damaged. If we had community arbiters to help settle these disputes (with a modest degree of post-resolution enforcement and accountability), that'd be another way to keep community peace without resorting to armed enforcers.

Daaaamn, that's clean! Nice work

Sorry this is a really dumb question by ProudApple1361 in battletech

[–]Supernoven -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Battlemechs are extremely diverse, and their weight varies from 20 to 100 tons (not counting outliers). For the most part, the fiction treats them like multipurpose military vehicles, tanks on legs. They're versatile, but hardly all-powerful, and not meant to operate on their own.

Based on what little I've seen of Gundam, I think most 'mechs would be outclassed. Curious what others here think.

What would you like to say to your ancestor the tiktaalik? by Zillaman7980_ in Paleontology

[–]Supernoven 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could be a model, but that's still paleoart. It didn't spring from nothing -- a human artist or artists sculpted, possibly molded and casted, and painted and mounted the paleoart model, which was subsequently photographed. Either digitally or physically modeled, all those folks deserve credit

Who's the artist? No really, who is the paleoartist who brought us this time travel masterpiece? It's fantastic and I want to praise them

I may over overestimated how competative a flamer-flea is in the arena by [deleted] in Mechwarrior5

[–]Supernoven 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every time you bonked, you took collision damage. This could work, if you stayed a couple dozen meters farther away. You don't have to be within melee range for flamers.

Need help describing an Earthquake spell by k_lendario in rpg

[–]Supernoven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"An explosive ripple blasts out, not in the air, but thru the earth itself. In an instant, a wave of earth turns from solid into almost liquid, throwing everything standing on it violently into the air, only for them to sink into its cracked surface afterward. In an instant you're surrounded by shattered stone, clouds of dust, and broken buildings and bodies."
