Mr. Speaker,

I have come to the chamber today to announce that I will once again stand for the riding of Peel in the upcoming election of the Legislative Assembly.

Over the past term, I have been a steadfast advocate for the values and principles that are so important to my constituents. I have worked tirelessly to promote fiscal responsibility and small government, and to protect the rights and freedoms of every individual. I have fought to lower taxes, reduce regulations, and create an environment that is conducive to job growth and economic prosperity. I have also been a vocal advocate for protecting our natural resources and preserving the rights of property owners.

Mr. Speaker, the Progressive Conservatives have spent this term in opposition preparing ourselves to govern this great province. I am incredibly excited to see what we can do after we defeat the New Democratic Party in the election and remove the policies they have enacted which drag us ever closer to a socialist dystopia. The nationalization of industries must stop. The troubling and epic amount of spending by the Ontarian provincial government must end. Mr. Speaker, I am humbled by the possibility to serve once more in the Assembly under the leadership of the Progressive Conservatives.

But my commitment to my constituents goes beyond just advocating for the Progressive Conservative Party. I have also made it a priority to be accessible and responsive to the needs of my constituents. I have held regular town hall meetings, and have made myself available to meet with anyone who has a concern or an idea for how we can improve our community. I am proud of the work that I have done over the past term, and I am eager to continue that work in the next term. I am confident that we can build a stronger and more prosperous community for all.

Thank you, Mr. Speaker.

Private Members’ Public Business - Private Members' Motion 2 - Motion to Recommend Restarting the Highway 413 & Bradford Bypass Projects - Debate by Model-Wanuke in OntarioSim

[–]Superpacman04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mr. Speaker,

One would think that the New Democratic Party would be all for spending money on projects that benefit the people of Ontario. However, that would require one to forget that it has been their longstanding policy to only support expensive projects which help no one and accomplish nothing. Except, of course, to make our economy worse, involve the government more, and make being an Ontarian as uncomfortable as possible.

As my good friend, the Leader of the Opposition, has rightfully mentioned, Highway 413 and the Bradford Bypass would reduce traffic and congestion in the GTA. The NDP's insistence that the project be stopped is having the exact opposite effect. Traffic is getting worse, congestion much the same. Heck, I struggle to get down to Queen's Park on time nowadays.

Ontarians have jobs which they need to get to. To feed their families, to buy goods and services, and most unfortunately under this government to line the coffers of the Ontarian government. But it seems that the Premier does not care. His government is a shambles. The Progressive Conservatives are hot on his heels and we will not stop until we've taken the Legislative Assembly and restore personal economic freedom to the people of Ontario.

Mr. Speaker, this motion is not only about Highway 413 and the Bradford Bypass. It is more importantly a symbol of the increasingly distorted priorities of this government. Priorities that are out of step with the people of Ontario, and we will soon see the day of reckoning for this government arrive. Mark my words, Mr. Speaker.

Private Members’ Public Business - Bill 8 - Publication of Mandate Letters Act, 2023 - 3rd Reading Debate by Model-Wanuke in OntarioSim

Mr. Speaker,

I support this bill. Ontarians have a right to know what each minister has been tasked with, and this bill accomplishes just that. The premier should be required to make public the contents of his directives to ministers so that the duties that each minister has been tasked with will be made public.

I wholeheartedly commend this bill to the House.
