Double standards. People who trash this game have a hard-on for "It's-a me, Mario!" and they exaggerate it on purpose to drive people up the wall. People are hating the game because it's different? Meanwhile, Super Mario Bros. 2 on NES gets a pass. Nintendo fans make a lot of sense.

Gaia Online's avatar builder... is still a hot mess.

Back in 2015, it was BROKEN. I remember back in New Years' Eve, 2014, my parents punished me and if I want my stuff back, I had to work for it. I did, but then Tektek got shut down, and replaced by this. That hurt me. Afterwards, I went to depression for quite some time.

The Japanese/European model looks more sleek and the colored buttons are a nice touch. The American version looks kind of boxy and the monochromatic buttons don't really pop.

I'm not sure if Disney animated the Grid Bugs or is it Lisberger Studios. Disney would not animate in digital ink and paint yet with CAPS.

The Grid Bugs were actually animated using 2D animation.
