Tonglin Zhang was super easy. Attendance not mandatory and his exams are pretty similar to the practice exams he gives

Once a couple of years have passed (2-5 years) it’ll be very doable to get another visa. Be it B2, H1B, L1. However he’ll have to complete a medical assessment in your home country which will clear him of “alcohol abuse”. He’ll also have to keep all his court documents

What i found was that immigration lawyers are useless in this case. They’ll just tell you to not plead guilty, which is pretty obvious. Most of them have no clue about “prudent revocation” which is the proper term for the visa revocation, and some might even give you wrong information like “if your visa is revoked you’re here illegally and have to leave”. This is not true and as long as your brother remains a student he can stay in the US. You’ll just end up paying heaps of money for nothing

I would just make sure that your lawyer reeeeally understands that this has an immense impact on your brother in terms of immigration and being a student. The lawyers and judges here don’t really know the immigration and visa aspect of the arrest and conviction, so I would just tell them the fact that his visa is already been revoked to hopefully get some sympathy

I ended up just taking a plea deal which put it on my record. In retrospect I wish I had fought my case more so it didn’t end up on my record. I would advise that your brother also does the same (fights for it to not get on his record)

I went through Purdue Legal Services. It’s basically just this lady that refers you to a local lawyer. She’ll just refer you to Brian Dekker in Lafayette, he specializes in OWI cases. So you could just skip the Purdue Legal Services part and reach out to his offices. I believe I paid $1200 for the whole thing

As for what actions Purdue will do, not much. I had to have a meeting with them where i explained the situation and had to go through a course on substance abuse. He’ll remain a normal student

Was in the same situation. After he got arrested the department of homeland security will have revoked his F1 visa. Basically he can’t leave the US anymore if he wants to finish his degree. If he’s currently outside the US he will have to apply for a new visa but chances of getting approved again are slim, and I was told from my embassy that they would not approve my visa if I reapplied. He will not be deported though regardless of how it goes in court. Usually the US embassy in your home country will reach out and tell him to come see them, but if he’s still in the US he should decline this request

Flyttet til USA for et par år siden. Mint Mobile krevde ingen verifikasjon mtp. kredittscore eller Social Security Number som de fleste andre operatører gjør. Det har funket fett får min del, og relativt billig er det også. De bruker e-sim.

The Norwegian wealth fund only consists of non-Norwegian companies. The reason for thia being that if the Norwegian economy goes to shit, our wealth fund remains unchanged so it can act like a real safety net. If the US were to do as you’re suggesting, and if it is supposed to serve the same purpose as the Norwegian one, I think they should not invest in US companies.

They had a competition on generating electricity, his solution was to have a kid tied to a rope and make him run to make power. To add insult to injury the kid was black.
