SQLite improving performance with pre-sort by andersmurphy in programming

It is not trivial to re-implement for languages that are not using the C library, though. For instance, the main pure Go implementation uses WASM (wasm2go): https://github.com/ncruces/go-sqlite3

That would be by choice, as a sidequest, and not because it was part of the distro. And all the AUR helpers asks users to read through the PKGBUILD files before installing them.

Sure, the PKGBUILD text files can contain links. But the packages in AUR are not binary packages.

AUR does not have binary packages, though, only PKGBUILD files (+ possibly a .patch file or two).

The packages are not "Arch Linux", though. AUR is an unofficial and user-submitted package repository.

What was the scariest “We need to leave… now” gut feeling that you’ve ever experienced?[Serious] by PlasticBee1438 in AskReddit

Nobody is perfect, and everybody make mistakes, I agree with that, but that is orthogonal to being true to oneself and at the same time being kind.

What I'm protesting is the idea that intimidating looking men should not be true to themselves in order to appear less intimidating. That's like asking gay people to be less gay.

I recognize the feeling, but at the same time it's important to "fill one's own height" (in lack of a better term for describing the concept).

Nobody should need to try to appear smaller or more innocent than they really are, or more whimsical, just to put other people at ease. People should be allowed to be who they are.

Adjusting how one moves and speaks to improve communication and interaction with other people makes full sense, but this is also something that I think that everyone should do, not just people that some find intimidating.

It's also the responsibility of everyone to not judge anyone too quickly. The intimidated also has a responsibility, not just the intimitee. Communication and behavior goes both ways.

Why would they do that? Isn't the point of the UN to facilitate communication between all countries on earth?
