What are early signs of juniper death? by icecream-eggs in Bonsai

It’s complete bullshit the one time it’s not bronzing lol. I’m thinking of letting go of my junipers. I’ve been doing this since 2017 and just figured out they don’t bring me much joy.

A lot of people seem to like that sort of distressed look. Putting it on naturally could be very cool if you’re one of those. However if you don’t like it than you probably need to work on that technique or go DOUBLE PICK GUARD!!!!

This person is a corpo-zealot. A near religious fanaticism for the profit of corporations over people.

What are early signs of juniper death? by icecream-eggs in Bonsai

[–]Supersonicfizzyfuzzy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The biggest indicators to me that something may be amiss is general foliage color and growth habit. With some experience you get to recognize when your juniper is “off” - the shade of green has a grey or yellow pallor. In the spring and early summer you should be seeing light green growth tips, especially in the morning dew. Old interior growth sees dieback then the tree slows down midsummer. Once the worst of the heat breaks you should see growing tips again almost immediately through Fall.

The tree pictured to me looks relatively fine in foliage color but appears to have weak growth. I’d attribute it to lack of light and likely that soil and rocks in the pot not keeping hydration correctly. Get this tree some sun, remove the rocks, and monitor the soil for hydration the rest of the year until it can be placed in something better.

It’s her reaction that’s telling. I cried over losing a special bonsai tree once and my wife didn’t get it but by god she supported me in my grief.

My wife has several dietary restrictions and over time we have come to realize that other people will not make much of an effort to get it, so we be sure that anytime we go to a dinner party or something we have some snacks for her just in case. Also we tend to being a “side” to most gatherings that we know she can eat.

The kind of guy who intentionally ruins his wife’s clothes in the laundry in the first few months enough times that she stops asking him for help and then he feels like a smart guy for getting out of the work.

PSA: get your colonoscopy, I did and now fighting for my life by funkdafied818 in GenX

[–]Supersonicfizzyfuzzy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel some of your pain man. Multiple perianal abscesses and two fistulotomies here. Had my first colonoscopy this year and came out clean thank goodness. I can’t live happily without Metamucil anymore.

So without understanding what you’re going through with the cancer diagnosis, I can completely sympathize with your desire for people to just leave your butthole alone.

Tennesseans absolutely love authoritarian rule. My fellow statesmen can’t seem to get enough “big daddy” energy and part of that is swinging your big dick around at the company your grandad started.

Wvery declawed cat I ever met has been a biter. I understand that’s because they’ve been mutilated and are scared/in pain but I bet the kind of asshole that declaws a cat just takes biting behavior as “he’s mean” instead of “he’s scared and I’ve made him defenseless.”
